Terry Branstad for outstanding academic achievement at the Ninth Annual Governor’s Scholar Recognition ceremony held May 1, at Hy-Vee Hall, Des Moines. The statewide program is sponsored by the Iowa Governor’s Office, the Iowa High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) and its title sponsor, the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation. Dr. Fenchel has been selected to continue his post-graduate medical training at the Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education in Rochester, Minn. In June, he will begin his three-year residency training in Emergency Medicine at the Mayo Clinic/St. Mary’s Hospital.
