Ryan Kennedy graduates

Ryan Kennedy, son of Dan and Linda Kennedy of Clear Lake, graduated May of 2014 from Duke University School of Law with his J.D. and LL.M in International and Comparative Law. After completing the North Carolina bar Ryan is now in the Navy JAG program and attending officer development and training. Ryan will start his tour of duty in Washington, D.C., after training. Ryan is a 2006 graduate of Newman High School.

Dr. and Mrs. Howard S. Yager of Atlanta, along with Barbara Etzen of Mason City, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Heather Melanie Yager to Jason Allen Etzen. The future bride graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interior Design with a double minor in Studio Art and Art History. She is employed as a sales specialist at Hermes in Atlanta. The future groom received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and a Masters Degree in Mass Communications from the University of Northern Iowa. He is employed as the Chief Business Officer at the American Junior Golf Association in Braselton, Georgia. An Oct. 4, 2014, wedding is planned in Pisgah Forest, N.C. The couple will reside in Atlanta.

Ashley is the daughter of Donna Loftus and Dale and Becky Loftus of Ashland, Nebraska. Ashley’s grandparents are deceased. Joshua’s parents are Michael and Sherri Hughes. of Forest City. Joshua’s grandparents are Gene and Betty Rosenberg of St. Ansgar, Iowa. Maid of honor was Lauren Jones. Ashley’s other attendants were Michelle Delgado, Megan Lihs, Sam Wolz, Nikea Brady, Jessica Haase, Erin Aten, and Emily Johnson. Best Man was Jeremiah Hughes (brother of groom).
