Wood is a social work major and Betz is a theory/ composition major. Feldman is a nursing major and was awarded membership in Sigma Theta Tau. Honors Day recognizes students who have

Col. David B. Gaskill retires from Air Force CORWITH — Colonel David B. Gaskill retired from the United States Air Force on Feb. 1, 2014. His military career spanned almost 23 years and included multiple worldwide deployments to the Middle East and Pacific regions. He first served as a Missile Launch Officer, Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo.; then as Navigator Instructor and Chief Evaluator of E-3 AWACS aircraft, Tinker AFB, Oklahoma; Deputy Base Commander in Curacao, Netherlands Antilles; and Squadron Commander for the 1st Airborne Command Control Squadron flying the E-4 “Nightwatch” at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska. He finished his service at US Strategic Command Headquarters, Offutt, AFB, serving as Deputy Division Chief for Strategic Plans and Policy and then as Division Chief, Strategic War Games Center. Col. Gaskill graduated from Corwith-WesleyLuVerne High School in 1987. He earned a B.S Degree in Agronomy from ISU, and later an M.B.A. in Management from Webster University and an M.S. in Strategic Leadership/Foreign Relations from the Air Force Institute of Technology. In retirement he has accepted a position with Producer Hybrids. He and his wife, Becky and children Mikaela, Preston and Maci will relocate to Northwest Iowa later this year. Col. Gaskill is the son of Thurman and Gerry Gaskill of Corwith.
