Eric is currently employed by Licensing Resource Group in Coralville, Iowa. The couple will be married June 19, 2014, in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

Shahan, Horstman ALICIA SHAHAN, of Garner, Iowa, is the daughter of Linda and the late Michael Shahan of Fertile, Iowa. Alicia graduated from Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa School of Radiologic Technology in 2008, and Ottawa University in 2013. Alicia is a Radiology and Laboratory Supervisor at Mercy Family Clinic-Clear Lake in Clear Lake, Iowa. MITCHELL HORSTMAN, of Garner, Iowa, is the son of Nancy and the late Jeffrey Horstman of Britt, Iowa. He graduated from Iowa State University in 2009. Mitch is a Mechanical Engineer at Stellar Industries in Garner, Iowa. The couple will be married at 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2014, at Word of Faith Dominion Church in Lake Mills, Iowa. They were married in the Britt Catholic Church and recently traveled to Italy in celebration of their anniversary. The couple’s children are Patrick Ruiter of Mason City, Cindy Ruiter and her significant other, Donnie, of Mason City, and the late Charles Ruiter of Heaven; and granddaughter, Lillian Ruiter, of Mason City.

Heins celebrate 40th Anniversary Russell Hein and Gloria (Onken) Hein of Little Cedar celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on April 20, 2014. Morgan is the daughter of Joel and Corrine Houston of Aiken, S.C., and Thomas is the son of Dan and Nora Hardy of Mason City, Iowa. “Mate” of Honor was Matt Jordan. Best Man was Nathan Hardy. Morgan graduated in 2003 from Brewster High School in New York, from State University of New York in Albany, N.Y., in Biology/Anthropology, and Temple University in Philadelphia in 2012 with a doctor of

podiatric medicine. She is employed by Cooper Hospital in Camden, New Jersey. Thomas graduated in 2002 from Mason City High School, 2006 from Yale University in Archaeology, and is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia in Anthropology. His dissertation project is in Cusco, Peru. He is employed by the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pa. The couple met in Belize, South America, in 2005 in archaeology field school, and were reacquainted in the summer of 2009. Following a honeymoon in Columbia, South America, the couple will reside in Camden, N.J.
