Scioteric Model

/

Modelado Sciotereo

Caracas/Capital/Venezuela. 2006.

WHAT?

HOW? COMO?

POR QUE?

Scioteric Model is a design than comes from an investigation project created by a faculty unit of profesors named MGL+PR based in the creation of a public dispositive in Sabana Grande, a linear public space located in Caracas Venezuela.

Creating a public space where the lights and shadows become in the center of atention, making the users feel the temperature of the space with the light and making them confortable with shadows that will define their circulation during the day. «Scioteric» means ‘I observe the shadow’.

Because much of the time, the Sabana Grande Boulevard is a no space place, this means that most of the people stay in this place for a very short time, is temporal, like a space of only transition, because they come here for work during the week and a little time on weekends. This project propose make a place of peace in the middle of the chaos.

QUE?

To create this small public space, each student had to pick one architect as guide, to design using his or her ways to design but adapting them to the enviroment, location, and the user needs, making a mix between the student and the master. My master guide was Alberto Campo Baeza, I took his way to design with the light, closing and open spaces with pure forms and white color as the way to make more evident the natural lighting effects. The time as the builder of the space.

POPULATION NEEDS

A place to make them feel able Trees to gain importance

Convert a NO PLACE in a PLACE

WHAT?

HOW? COMO?

POR QUE?

Caribbean Fold is a design than comes from an investigation project created by a faculty unit of profesors named MGL+PR based in the creation of a house that respond to extreme climatological conditions of Haiti island wich have a bunch of homeless people because of floods, earthquakes, hurricanes.

Creating a basic and easy structure system that they can fold, open and close, and even carry to another place in order to run and avoid from the bad weather and be safe. The structure can change it shape in order to the topography where its constructed, it addapt to any ground condition and it is modulated to make joints to carry any family numbers.

Because all people deserve to have a place to live, in order to their needs. And no matter the cost, people can have a house for a low price, and with sustainable systems that impact less the enviroment.

WHAT?

HOW? COMO?

POR QUE?

Kiri complex is an egg factory, located in a huge land located in the outsides of Maracaibo city. The proyect was designed by a team conformed by the architect Luis Gonzalez and Pertopia arquitecture office.

The geometry of the factory comes from a detailed volumetric study made by the architect Hans Ratmiroff, who connected the industrial shapes with smart circulations that makes confortable areas to work in. Appearing spaces detailed by me, using the less expression of the most noble materials, and double heights with light rays creating beautiful atmospheras.

Because the owners and the employers of Kiri, need a new place to work comfortably, surrounded by spaces that goes according to the style and concept of the kiri enterprise.

WHAT?

HOW?

A particular domotic project made by a team of professionals, composed by Ragolia Marble’s team, with Fortuna Dueck and Karina Muszkatblat Arch Studio, who i had the honor to worked with.

Making a modern, minimal and inteligent appartment, designed with the newest domotic systems in the lighting, in the kitchen artifacts, in the bathrooms and in all bedrooms, but make them invisible designing it funtions at the same time of the construction. Making the whole system part of the arquitecture itself.

Because all space can be builted in order to respond to the human activity and needies, the space can be part of the human who habbit it, because the space bends itself with the presence of the matter,we are not in the space, the space is in us.

MARACAIBO CITY

Maracaibo/Zulia/Venezuela. 2012. Population (2013) Rank 2nd Urban 2,001,591 Metro 2,450,559

WHAT?

HOW?

Urban Filters as City Structurers: It is a research study of the evolution of the Maracaibo’s public spaces over time, which is materialized in a proposal of infiltrated platforms, volunms with programs of recreational content, that filters from Avenue Miracle until reaching the shores of Maracaibo Lake, transforming the coast edge of the second stage of the shore.

Recycling the infiltration phenomenum that structured the city in early times, with a reinterpretation of how would affect nowdays. Cosiderating aspects like the current needs and problems of the city.

Because the city has 0.3 square metters of green areas per habitants when the minimum is 10m2 of green area per habitant. Also the people who practice sports have to go out from the city because there is no sports building where this people can train.
