DUE TO THE WINTER’S challenging weather we’ve studied and developed two different techniques aimed to achieve the ultimate grip. Let us introduce Diamond nonslip grip and Alpi system – customized for different usages. DIAMOND NONSLIP GRIP is an Icelandic
innovation. The granules are impregnated into rubber soles that greatly increase grip in wet and slippery conditions. As the soles are worn down, new layers of granules appear to maintain better grip. Thanks to the impregnated granules you
can also walk indoors without scratching the floor or hear the clinking of spikes. THE ALPI SYSTEM has the perfect sole for snowy conditions, as the sprigs give you a firm grip. The function is easy, you just fold out the sprigs with a key that comes along with the shoes. If the weather changes drastically you just fold in the sprigs and carry on. THE COOL AND CULTURAL capital of Norway is a work in progress, where the architecture keeps developing. This is something the wave lover Johanna realised when she was visiting Oslo. The hip barcode area impressed her with it’s architectonic details and quirks. Johanna would have loved to stay longer in Oslo and wants to remind people that it can be just as trendy as the cities most spoken of.

Our cold tests are based on measuring the temperature in the shoes during different time intervals and temperatures, this to see how the shoes respond in the cold. The tests start at a temperature of 22,5° C and go down to 0° C. We rate our shoes on a scale from 1–5, based on how long it takes them to drop to 0° C.

IT’S NO SECRET that Norway is one of the most beautiful places in the world with its fjords, forests and rocky landscapes. Living the biggest part of her life in a small town in Sweden, Johanna has always been close to nature. The visit to the Norwegian mountains and the fact that she nowadays spends a lot of time in the ranges of Austria, reminds her of childhood memories in the alps. As a young girl she used to go skiing with her family and this was when she first encountered the beauty of alpine landscapes.

The mountains are amazing, it’s something I wasn’t really aware of at the age of 18, but have realized now.
THE ROCKY NORWEGIAN landscape, where the journey continued, mesmerized Stefan who grew up in the alpine foothills of Austria. When he started travelling the world, he also started to appreciate the mountains in a different way. He says not being close to them, and the fact that he’s becoming older, has made him appreciate the mountain ranges in a new way. One of his favorite places is the small lake Langbathensee, located in Austria’s elevated land close to his home.

Åre, Riksgränsen and Sälen are the perfect destinations for a vacay with a bunch of friends, the one you love or with just yourself. Depending on the season you either want to be warmed up after a day out in the cold or to cool down after a day’s hiking. If you can’t seem to sit still and just relax you may want some more action. you own shoes you no longer want to keep? We want to minimize the risk of shoes becoming waste at an early stage. If you have shoes that is still in useable condition, we recommend you leave it in any Scorett store. Either they go to their reuse department where the shoemakers polish and repair them, or they go to their collaborators Human Bridge.

It’s a curling boot were both suede and sheepskin lining are vegetable tanned. Its removable inner sole is made of genuine sheepskin and cork, and the outer sole is a rubber blend that provides anti-slip properties and good comfort.
Did you know that cork is eco-friendly? Cork production is generally considered sustainable because the bark is being stripped off of the tree. This means that the tree doesn’t have to be cut down, instead it can be harvested up to 20 times.

ADVENTURE SEEKING Johanna has always had the ocean close to her heart. She grew up sailing with her family in the small town Varberg in Sweden, taking the step to try kitesurfing was therefore easy. She started catching waves at the age of 18, and was very determined to become good at it. Last year Johanna competed in the GKA Kite World Tour, which she’s also participating in this year. Her tip to anyone who wants to become good at kiteboarding is to spend as much time as possible in the water. The more you practice, the better you’ll get.

On my third day of kitesurfing i was already doing jumps.
IN HIS HOMETOWN, kitesurfing was the thing everyone wanted to do. At the age of 16 Stefan, who had already been windsurfing a couple of years, took the next step and started kitesurfing. His friend showed him how it was done and on the third day he was already doing jumps. When he finished school, Stefan wanted a break from the studies. He took a year off and spent a lot of time kitesurfing. At the end of the year he’d become so good that it didn’t take long before he became the Austrian champion in kitesurfing 2009. His 1-year break from studies turned into a 10-year hiatus during which he’s mainly been competing in freestyle kiteboarding all over the world.
