The Friends of Scouting C)rganisation made very satisfactory progress during the year' and by January 1971` it became possible to transfer a certain number of new commitments to the Aff"iate。 Theseˇ new taske are being irnplemented in stages by the C)rganisation` wh1Gh also made a sub stantial contribution in money to the Association in November. The activities and progress rnade by the C)rganisation during∷

Diamond Jub"ee celebrations to be held during the surTl1ner months of 1971。 The successful resuIts of the Jub"ee fund raising campaign have alreadv been mentioned, and an indication has also been given of the heavy work invOIved in compIeting initial ρreparations for the various

Jub"ee events。
