*DIANA DEGARMO Sandy Dumbrowski For over the last decade, Diana DeGarmo has been blowing away audiences with her powerful voice and irresistible charm. Fans first grew to love Diana on the cultural phenomenon, AMERICAN IDOL where she placed second at the mere age of 16. Shortly after, Diana released her first single “Dreams” that reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart. She made her Broadway debut at only 18 in the role of Penny Pingleton in HAIRSPRAY, solidifying her spot amongst the Broadway Divas. Her comedy chops and big voice brought down the house again in the Off Broadway cult hit, THE TOXIC AVENGER as Sarah the blonde, blind, librarian. Splitting her time between her beloved home in Nashville and the rest of the world, Diana made a name for herself on the #1 Daytime TV Drama, THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, creating the vivacious and wild character, Angelina. While in Los Angeles, Diana revised her beloved role as Penny Pingleton in HAIRSPRAY at the Hollywood Bowl starring Drew Carey and Corbin Bleu. All the while releasing two of her own EPs, “Unplugged in Nashville” and “Live to Love” that included the hit song “Good Goodbye” that was showcased during her reign on THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS. In 2010, she joined the Broadway revival of HAIR where she met now husband, Ace Young. Soon the two became a dynamic duo writing and singing songs for TV Shows and Films and touring together in JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT and multiple times with the USO. Diana has also taken her talents on the road with the First National Broadway Tours of BKYLN: THE MUSICAL and 9 TO 5, where she was handpicked to play Doralee by the one and only Dolly Parton herself! She recently returned home to Nashville from touring South Korea while starring as Lucy in JEKYLL & HYDE alongside Kyle Dean Massey. Diana was an active actor as a child growing up in Georgia, but her most recent films include ALTO, AFTER THE SUN FELL and THE FIRST RIDE OF WYATT EARP. CAST *ACE YOUNG Danny Zuko Ace Young is a creative chameleon. He has made it his life’s purpose to wear every hat in the entertainment industry he can from acting, singing, writing songs for artists and brands, composing for films, touring his own music, directing and more. This Grammy Nominated songwriter has written Number 1 hits in both the US and Overseas. He says, “A true artist will do whatever the next project needs and never stop learning.” Long before he was introduced to the world on the biggest season of American Idol history, Ace had already performed, created and produced music for a major motion picture and toured the country with R&B royalty. His career has taken him to stages around the world from Afghanistan and Bahrain with the USO, New York City with Broadway hits GREASE and HAIR, and Los Angeles TV sets from “Bones” to “Born Again Virgin.” He and wife, Diana DeGarmo, toured the country together in the show JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT with Ace in the title role. Proudly wearing his producer hat, Ace is currently leading the creation in Diana’s new album, GEMINI. His first film, CLINTON ROAD, starring alongside Ice T, will be released in 2018. Growing up in Colorado as the youngest of five boys, Ace has never once backed down from a challenge and doesn’t plan on starting any time soon. He is honored to be represented by Headline Talent and active member of AEA and SAG-AFTRA.

MELINDA DOOLITTLE Teen Angel Melinda Doolittle is best known for her third place finish on American Idol. Since then, she has had the honor of singing at Carnegie Hall, The White House, The Kennedy Center, The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and has enjoyed traveling all over the world with her show The Great American Soulbook. Melinda is so excited to be doing her second show with Studio Tenn! Teen Angel is a dream role for her and this cast is made up of all her favorite people.

CAST LIAM SEARCY Kenickie Liam Searcy is a freshman Musical Theatre Major at Belmont University and is very excited to be joining the cast of GREASE in his Studio Tenn debut. His previous credits include Prince Eric in THE LITTLE MERMAID at Eastern Shore Repertory Theatre and Enjolras in the French Woods Festival’s performance of LES MISERABLES. 1 Corinthians 13:1

*BRADLEY D. GALE Doody Bradley D. Gale is born to hand jive baby and isjust about jumpin’ out of his skin to be jiving with this incredible group of people. After spending three years touring with THE BOOK OF MORMON the musical, he landed in Nashville in 2015, and since then has been seen with Studio Tenn in both EVITA and A STUDIO TENN CHRISTMAS; 2016 and 2017. Other local credits include SPIRIT (2016 and 2017); Mike in the regional premiere of FREAKY FRIDAY at Chaffin’s. Favorite roles include playing Donovan in the regional premiere of Roger Bean’s SUMMER OF LOVE and having the supreme honor of portraying Elder Price opposite Tony Award winner Ben Platt as Elder Cunningham multiple times in THE BOOK OF MORMON (Chicago). Many many thanks to Matt, Benji, Steve and the rest of the team at Studio Tenn for this amazing opportunity. CHASEY COOKSEY Roger Chase is making his debut appearance on the Studio Tenn stage. Originally from Meridian, MS, Chase made his move to Nashville two years ago. His film credits include a principal lead in the Universal Picture movie, “Pitch Perfect.” His love for acting began in the theater and his favorite role was Marius in Les Miserables with Meridian Performing Arts Center. He would someday love to revisit this character. He has a Bachelors in Fine Art, Communications, & Interior Design from Mississippi State University. After having worked with Studio Tenn in various capacities, he is delighted to be on stage with this awesome cast.

She was last in Nashville playing Little Red Riding Hood in Studio Tenn’s production of “Into the Woods.” Most recently, she was seen in the Off-Broadway production of The Marvelous Wonderettes, the Chicago premiere of “A Taste of things to Come”, & touring Europe with Priscilla Queen of the Desert. Some of her favorite credits include: Jawbreaker, Grease, Legally Blonde, Bare, Urinetown & Into the Woods. CORI ANNE LAEMMEL Frenchy Cori Anne Laemmel is thrilled to be a part of this phenomenal cast and crew. Cori hails from sunny Santa Cruz, California and attended the Musician’s Institute of Hollywood for vocal performance. Some of Cori’s favorite past roles have been Gertrude McFuzz in Seussical at the Nashville Children’s Theatre, Janet in Yankee Tavern and Poppy in Noises Off at The Nashville Repertory Theatre, Cathy in Last 5 Years, Olive Ostrovsky in The 25th Annual…Spelling Bee, and Pickles in The Great American Trailer Park Musical at Street Theatre Company. Cori is the artistic Director and founder of The Theater Bug, a non-profit youth organization where she writes and directs original plays and musicals with young people year round. The Theater Bug is proud to be the official children’s theater partner of Studio Tenn, and Cori enjoys assisting with casting and coaching the professional youth actors on the Studio Tenn stage. Cori is also a founding member of the cabaret group MAS Nashville. Cori would like to thank Matt and the entire Studio Tenn family for this wonderful opportunity, and her amazing husband, Tyson, and her son, Lucky, for their never ending love and support. She would also like to give a shout out to her “bugs” for reminding her every day what a treasure, joy, and privilege it is to make art, especially with those you love.

BRIANA MIDDLETON Marty Briana is beyond grateful to be making her professional stage debut with Studio Tenn in Grease. Briana spent a year and a half studying Acting/Music Theatre at Carnegie Mellon University and will now be transferring to The University of North Carolina School of the Arts to continue her acting training. Before going back to school in the Fall, this Summer Briana will performing in Ars Nova’s Ant Fest with a Rap/ Hip Hop new work musical. She would like to thank the Franklin Brentwood Arts Academy for giving her the strong foundation she still uses today, David Berry for teaching her the value of balance in one’s life and work, and her family for letting her fall when she needed to, but always being there in case she needed catching.

CAST JAIRUS MAPLES Johnny Casino/Understudy: Danny Zuko Jairus Maples makes his debut on Studio Tenn’s stage as “Johnny Casino”. Classically trained, holding a Bachelor of Music from Belmont University, Jairus has performed roles from Mozart to Menken, working in a variety of theaters across the East coast, and in film. His most recent appearances include It’s a Wonderful Life: The Musical, Southern Fried Funeral, Tosca, and Cosi fan Tutte. Jairus also performs with Nashville’s own Beyond Wings Circus exhibiting a plethora of acts including but not limited to juggling, flairtending, trapeze, aerial silks, and fire breathing/spinning. Mr. Maples would like to thank you for your continued support of the arts in your community, and he looks forward to his upcoming role as “Hugo” in The Nashville Children’s Theater’s production of Tuck Everlasting.

PERI BARNHILL Ensemble/Understudy: Jan, Miss Lynch Peri is thrilled to be making her Studio Tenn debut! She spent last summer interning in the Social Media and Marketing department at Studio Tenn. She then went on to intern at Warner Music Nashville and pilot Belmont University’s first Musical Theatre “abroad” program in New York. She was last seen in Fidder on the Roof at Belmont University where he is working toward her BFA Musical Theatre degree with an Entertainment Journalism Minor. Her past credits include Roz Keith in 9 to 5, Wendy Jo in Footloose and Polly Baker in Crazy For You. Outside of theatre, Peri spends her time in Belmont’s sketch comedy group, Fall Follies. EMILY URBANSKI Ensemble/Understudy: Sandy Dumbrowski Originally from Carmel, Indiana, Emily’s performing background started at 5 years old when she began dancing. Emily has trained in 8 styles and has performed in venues including Kings Island, collegiate and professional basketball games, and Disney World. Emily moved to Nashville in 2016 to study Musical Theatre Major at Belmont University. Emily’s credits include FIDDLER ON THE ROOF (ensemble) and ON THE TOWN (Featured Dancer) as well as working as the Dance Assistant for 9 TO 5. Regional credits include: BRING IT ON (Skylar), LEGALLY BLONDE (Brooke Wyndham), WHITE CHRISTMAS (Susan), FOOTLOOSE (ensemble), and others. Emily is also an instructor at Nashville Theatre School where she teaches Musical Theatre classes as well as being the Assistant Choreographer and Stage Manager for their musicals. EVERETT TARLTON Ensemble Everett hails originally from Tennessee but has lived nomadically throughout the southeast working as an actor, singer, dancer, comedian, coach, director and choreographer for over a decade. Everett left home and began his artistic career at a young age performing at Disney World, Sea World, and Universal Studios. He was most recently seen as Josh in MOCKINGBIRD (Nashville Children’s Theatre) and Andrew Jackson in BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON (Nashville Rep). He has also appeared in DISCOVERING SHAKESPEARE (Nashville Shakespeare Festival), CHICAGO (Nashville Rep) THE ODD COUPLE and ALL SHOOK UP (Chaffin’s Barn), and OKLAHOMA! (MCTC). Film credits include the series Nashville, Race with the Devil, Big Stone Gap, MTV.com, as well as several music videos and commercials. A veteran of the Fringe Festival Circuit, Everett has performed in many award-winning shows including: BeBe, Tallulah Dies (2011 Producers Pick-Cincy Fringe), and his one-man show Timmy Goes to Rehab (5 out of 5 stars-Kansas City Fringe).


CAST RYAN LYNCH Ensemble/Understudy: Doody, Roger Ryan is a student from Atlanta, Georgia studying for a BFA in Musical Theatre as a sophomore at Belmont University. Recent credits include John, JOHN AND JEN (Street Theatre Company); Avram, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF (Belmont University); Ensemble, ON THE TOWN (Belmont University); Davey, NEWSIES (Disney Theatrical Recordings); Mr.Banks, MARY POPPINS JR. (Musical Theatre International Recordings). Ryan also has credits in community and educational theatre around Atlanta including Rusty Charlie, GUYS AND DOLLS (Play on Players); Carl Hanratty, CATCH ME IF YOU CAN (Red Phoenix Theatre Company); Gomez Addams, THE ADDAMS FAMILY (Red Phoenix Theatre Company). In high school, Ryan had the opportunity to showcase the “Tonight (Quintet)” from WEST SIDE STORY as Tony at the Junior Theatre Festival in Atlanta. AUSTIN QUERNS Ensemble/Understudy: Eugene Austin Querns is a 21 year old from Hattiesburg, MS. Austin is very excited to make his Studio Tenn debut with GREASE. HUDSON SNYDER Ensemble Hudson is very excited to work with Studio Tenn for the first time and join the family! Hudson is a Musical Theatre major at Belmont University, where he was most recently seen as a featured dancer in Fiddler on the Roof and On the Town. Before moving to Nashville, Hudson was originally from Zionsville, Indiana where he trained in dance for 5 years in styles including jazz, ballet, tap, hip-hop and modern. Some of Hudson’s favorite credits include: Marcellus (The Music Man), Mr. Green (Clue), and Garvin (Footloose). After Grease, you can see Hudson perform as Elmer in Disney’s Newsies later this summer at Grandstreet Theatre. White segued into professional theatre after a 25-year career in the music industry working in management, artist development, touring, marketing and promotion with numerous performers including Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith, TobyMac, Alison Krauss, Vince Gill, Sheryl Crow and more. He was first introduced to Studio Tenn when his wife Susannah was cast in the company’s inaugural season opener HELLO, DOLLY!. He began building sets and soon realized he’d found his perfect niche: combining his entertainment industry and construction experience along with his organizational and creative skills. White has served as Technical Director and Set Co-designer for all of Studio Tenn’s productions since 2011, including GUYS AND DOLLS (2011); A CHRISTMAS CAROL (2011-2013); THE MIRACLE WORKER (2012); THE SOUND OF MUSIC (2012); SMOKEY JOE’S CAFE (2012); BIG RIVER (2013); MY FAIR LADY (2013); THE HANK LEGACY (2013); INTO THE WOODS (2013); FROST/NIXON (2014); LES MISERABLES (2014); FIDDLER ON THE ROOF (2014); STEEL MAGNOLIAS (2014); IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE (2014); THE CASH LEGACY (2015/2017); THE WIZARD OF OZ (2015); THE GLASS MENAGERIE (2016); WEST SIDE STORY (2016); EVITA (2016); THE BATTLE OF FRANKLIN (2016/2017); THE ELEPHATN MAN (2017); MONTY PYTHON’S SPAMALOT (2017); THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE (2017); DOUBT (2018). Other theatre credits include productions by Tennessee Repertory Theatre and Belmont University. Additionally, White is commissioned to design and produce custom pieces and installations by bands, artists and venues including the Nashville Public Library and the Frist Museum.

MATT PARKER (Production/Company Manager) Matt has stage managed the world premiere of THE ICE TREATMENT at Actors Bridge Ensemble and spent several years at Nashville Repertory Theatre as their Company Coordinator/Artistic Assistant. Other experience includes Arkansas Repertory Theatre, Berkshire Theatre Group, Dane Peterson Theatre Series, and Birmingham Children’s Theatre. He studied Theatre at Samford University, where he was the founding producer of Underground Theatre, a fully student-run theatre company.


CREATIVE TEAM *BENJAMIN KERN (Production Stage Manager) Benjamin is the resident production stage manager at Studio Tenn, where he has worked on productions such as EVITA, GYPSY, WESTSIDE STORY and SPAMALOT. Prior to coming to Nashville, Benjamin worked at the Lortel Winning Off-Broadway Company Primary Stages where he helped to produce new American Plays. ELIZA GARRITY (Sound Designer) Eliza Garrity graduated from Belmont University in 2015 with a B.A. in Theatre & Drama.
