Q:
How can I be the leader in my home, when I am not respected as such? 4 Building Men. Raising Sons!
A:
Jesus said there is honor that comes from God only [John 5:44]. Though it’s nothing like being respected by your wife and kids, you shouldn’t depend on it. If you are doing

honors you as such, even when they don’t. As you do this, you will become less dependent on your loved ones for something you should first seek from God. Whether or not you know it, this takes a huge load off of their shoulders.

From here you can do the basic things that make it easy for others to respect you. While you should definitely go through the
scriptures and be sure you are doing what is required as a husband, don’t overlook the things that are right before you. Are you honoring them? Are you taking time to listen to and find out what’s going on with them?

sing kings of the Old Testament as character studies, Steve Farrar examines the critical role a father plays in preparing his son to
become a godly man. What separated the good kings from the bad kings was a father who made time commitments to mentor his son, by modeling biblical manhood. Do you want your son to become a man of character? If your answer is “Yes”, then ‘King Me: What Every Son Wants
And Needs From His Father’ is the book for you! Steve Farrar is the founder and chairman of Men's Leadership Ministries in Bryan/College Station, Texas, and brings his message to thousands of men each year. He is also author of ‘Anchor Man: How A Father Can Anchor His Family In Christ For The Next 100
Years’ and ‘Battle Ready: Joshua and Caleb’s Bold Men of God Series.’
