The Time is Now

Everyone talks about the various Golden Ages— the Golden Age of television, the Golden Age of movies, and so forth. I would argue that Las Vegas is in the Golden Age of live music, right here and now. We have built countless venues for live performers (including the soon-to-open MSG Sphere), and not only are they all constantly being used, all are being packed with fans who cannot get enough. Artists from every genre and generation enjoy great success here—some have even planted roots and established residencies. It all means one thing: No matter whom you listen to, odds are you’ll be able to catch them in Las Vegas sooner or later.

This week’s issue of Las Vegas Magazine is a perfect example of that. Depeche Mode fans no doubt already have their tickets for the legendary group’s performance at T-Mobile Arena (“Just Can’t Get Enough,” p. 12), while fans of the Red Hot Chili Peppers are probably already lining up for their show at Allegiant Stadium (“Like a Dream,” p. 17 ). And Sting fi nishes up his My Songs residency at Caesars Palace (“Virtuoso in Vegas,” p. 34).

Entertainment options don’t stop there, however. Blue Man Group at Luxor recently unveiled a VIP experience fans will defi nitely want to check out (“Beyond the Paint,” p. 32), while BattleBots: Destruct-A-Thon at the Caesars Entertainment Studios continues to enthrall its fans (“Kick Some Bot,” p. 38).

Don’t forget to fuel up while you’re out there having fun! Dining options in this week’s issue include Morimoto Las Vegas at MGM Grand (“A World of Flavor,” p. 28), Edge Steakhouse at Westgate Las Vegas (“Nothing But the Best,” p. 20), and Todd English’s Olives at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas (“A Room for All Seasons,” p. 18).

Enjoy the Golden Age this week!
