ENDOWED OPPORTUNITIES Endowed Scholarships

Cameron University students have benefitted from the generosity of endowed scholarship donors for nearly 40 years. These scholarship contributions provide enormous opportunities for students, many times opening the doors to educational opportunities that may have otherwise been out of reach.

Endowed scholarships are established when a minimum contribution from a donor is deposited into the university’s endowment fund and invested under the direction of the Cameron University Foundation Board of Directors. Each year, a percentage of the earnings from the investment is awarded to deserving students.

To establish an endowed scholarship, the following contribution is required:

• Endowed Scholarship: $25,000

"I am sincerely honored to have been selected as a recipient of the Fulbright-Helvey Endowed Scholarship. As a first-generation college student and young woman, I am grateful to have been awarded this scholarship to lessen my financial burden and allow my focus on the most important aspect of college, which is learning. I hope to use the knowledge and skills I gain at Cameron University to prove that women have a strong impact in higher education, and to make a difference in the lives of my peers and community.”

- Morgan Harless, Psychology major

"I truly appreciate being awarded the Ewell B. Lacy Endowed Scholarship as it is very thoughtful and gracious. My education is extremely important to me, and with support from donors, I can channel my studies to a higher standard. As a Cameron University student, I wish to spread the importance of giving back to the community and student body in a multitude of ways. I am currently pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Cybersecurity, and the Ewell B. Lacy Endowed Scholarship has given me the inspiration and support needed to achieve my learning goals.”

- Emma Englefield, Criminal Justice Major
