Endowed Faculty Positions
by go2cu
Cameron has a greater number of endowed faculty positions than any other regional public university in Oklahoma. These positions make a direct contribution to the quality of teaching and learning at Cameron by enabling academic endeavors that would not otherwise be possible.
By endowing a faculty position, you are directly contributing to the success of Cameron. To endow a faculty position, the following contributions are required:
• To endow a lectureship: $100,000
• To endow a professorship: $250,000
• To endow a chair: $500,000
“It is an honor to serve as the McCasland Foundation Endowed Chair in Educational Leadership. This foundation affords multiple opportunities, such as book studies and seminars for the development of principal candidates as they work towards becoming exemplar educational leaders. Along with assistance in developing future campus leaders, the foundation allows for me to travel throughout the Southwest Oklahoma region to develop relationships with principals and superintendents and support campuses and districts in their professional development endeavors. All of these activities open doors for the promotion and recruitment of future students and principal candidates to Cameron University. I am grateful to the McCasland Foundation for the generous support of our educational leadership program!”
- Dr. Stephanie Phillips
“I am honored to be the B.H. Brewer Endowed Chair in Education. Because of this funding, I am able to continuously improve our program quality by collecting data and assessments that pertain to our curriculum. With our focus always being on students and their success, collecting and analyzing departmental data ensures we not only maintain high academic standards, but also allows us to make curriculum revisions based on our students’ needs.”
- Dr. Michelle Smith
“The McMahon Endowed Chair position allows me to significantly further my professional activity by traveling nationally and internationally for performances. Whether it's in a big city in Australia or a small town in Texas, I help increase the visibility of Cameron University, Lawton/Fort Sill area, and Oklahoma in the most positive way. Our students benefit from having a professor who is an active performer.”
