The Beef Fillet with Porcini Wild Mushrooms was as good as any steak available in Goa. And the Ravioli de Pesce al Pomodoro e Basilico (Fish Ravioli with tomato sauce and basil) touched the right notes as well. Most of the dessert offerings are ice cream in one form or another, but we went for the tiramisu and were not disappointed.

There’s also something nice (and very Italian) about having the owner herself, a broad smile on her face, come to the table to discuss the menu’s offerings. If you’ve ever had the experience of having an exuberant restaurateur in Palermo, Milan or Venice walk you through a menu – or better yet, say “relax and put yourself in our hands” – then you’ll know what we’re talking about.

Nothing against Ernesto’s. But this is a good change. Grazie, Maria Grazia!
