Exhibitors will receive 2 drinks per booth. Booth packages include complete set up with skirted and covered table and pipe and drape. It also includes coverage on our advertising and weekly emails. All participants are asked to provide a door prize to be announced by our emcee and are encouraged to make their booth engaging and interactive!

The Wendell H. Ford Gover nment Education Center is a non-pr ofit organization and was established by for mer U . S . S e n a t o r We n d e l l Ford upon his retirement from the Senate in 1998. Senator For d believed that students needed a better understanding of how our gover nment operates, and that the principles by which he conducted his work: civil discourse, cooperation and the willingness
to compromise, are vital to our nation’s future. In keeping with this mission, the Center established the Statesmanship Academy in 2012. This non-par tisan program of fers high school students of var ying backgr ounds and abilities, experiences in developing their leadership potential, as well as gaining an understanding of the issues that face our community, state, and nation.
Leadership Owensboro visits Frankfort The Leadership Owensboro class had a full day in Frankfort on Feb. 8. To kick things off, they joined Leadership Paducah and Leadership Murray for a luncheon where Secretary Gill served as the keynote speaker. The class had meetings to speak with our legislators, including Senator Bowen, Representatives Miles, Castlen, Johnson, Gooch and Mills about several topics.
The Chamber’s lobbyist, Russ Woodward of Capital Link, spoke with the class about likely outcomes of the sessions and legislation the class should expect to see passed. In addition, the class observed the House Budget Review Subcommittee on General Government chaired by Representative Miles. The class concluded their visit by attending West Kentucky Thank You Night.

King to speak at March Rooster Booster Rober t L. King became the third president of the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education in Januar y 2009. Since coming to the post, he has led statewide efforts to work collaboratively with his counterparts in K-12 education, has focused campus attention on student success, and is encouraging significant reform in teacher and principal training. He recently ser ved on the Executive Committee of the State Higher Education Executive Of ficers (SHEEO), and ser ved as its chair and vice chair. King is the former chancellor
of the State University of New York, one of the largest comprehensive systems of universities, colleges and community colleges in the world. More recently, he ser ved as president and CEO of the Arizona Community Foundation, a statewide charitable foundation with a strong focus on education, economic development, and scientific research. King is ver y active in community ser vice and has volunteered and ser ved on numerous boards and organizations. He cur rently ser ves on the Board of Trustees of A.T. Still
University, a specialized university dedicated to training physicians, dentists and other professionals in the provision of “whole person� health care in Missouri and Arizona, and as a member of the board of the National Center on Education and the Economy. In the past, he ser ved nine years on the White House Commission on Presidential Scholars. In addition, he has ser ved on the Education Committee of the U.S. National Commission for the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO); as
an adviser to the Middle States Commission on Higher Education regarding reauthorization of the Higher Education Act in Congress; the board of directors of the National Soccer Hall of Fame; and the board of trustees of Prescott College located in Prescott, Arizona. King received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1968 from Trinity College in Har tford, Connecticut, and a Juris Doctor in 1971 from Vanderbilt University School of Law. He is married to Karen, his wife of 40 years. They have four grown children and two grandchildren.

West Kentucky Thank You Night
Members of numerous Chambers of Commerce throughout wester n Kentucky came together on Thursday, Februar y 8 to hear remarks from members of the state legislature during a special reception. The reception, known as West Kentucky Thank You Night, was held in Frankfort to express appreciation to our state officials and House and Senate members for past, present and future suppor t of Wester n Kentucky. Business Leaders and representatives of city and county governments
were also in attendance at West Kentucky Thank You Night, which was hosted by the West Kentucky Regional Chamber Alliance (WKRCA) and Chamber Leadership Initiatives for Northwest Kentucky (C-LINK). Businesses, economic development of fices, local gover nment agencies, chambers of commerce and educational institutions joined together to sponsor the event. Barbecue from some of western Kentucky’s fines restaurants were ser ved at the event, including Moonlite BBQ of Owensboro.
