Hospice of Western Kentucky to sponsor July Rooster Booster If you think hospice care is all about dying, then you don’t know hospice. At Hospice of Western Kentucky, the care we provide is based on our belief that hospice is truly about living — living our best life possible to our last breath. From our hospice home care team to our Heartford House inpatient facility staff; from our community-based palliative care team to our administrative staff, board and volunteers, Hospice of Western Kentucky is comprised of compassionate people who have a passion for the work they do every day. In addition to hospice and palliative care, did you know we provide grief and healing support for the families the serve, and the community in general, free of charge? Our Teddy Bear and Camp Courage programs serve children grieving the loss of a loved one. Our enrichment program includes our Special Needs and WISH (Wishes Impact Serve and Heal) programs for patients, and the addition of complementary services, such as massage/
aroma/pet therapy and ar t/music enrichment. And with our new “Hospice Gives, Hospice Cares program, our staff members volunteer their time to help other nonprofit organization’s in our service area. Hospice of Western Kentucky’s administrative/clinical of fice is located at 3419 Wathens Crossing in Owensboro. Our Heartford House, which opened in 2013 as the first freestanding hospice inpatient facility in Western Kentucky, is at 2914 Old Hartford Road. For more information on hospice services or Heartford House, call 270-926-7565 or visit our website at www.hospiceofwky.org. And don’t forget to friend us on Facebook.
