HAYDEN FARMS OPENS EDUCATION CENTER The Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce understands the importance for lifting the profile of the agricultural contribution to our regional economy. Not only does the Chamber have an Agriculture Committee that works to present events such as the longstanding annual Farm City Breakfast meant to bring both the business and agricultural communities together to celebrate success and crossover, but they also plan agribusiness tours across the community and help to share the story of agriculture leading our community through innovation. Hayden Farms is a perfect example of this. Long supporters of the Chamber, the Hayden family cut ribbon on July 26 to celebrate their new Poultry Education Center in Whitesville. The partnerships and support among Chamber members was evident as steak-holders in various sectors across the region joined at the ribbon cutting to celebrate. The farm’s manager, Daniel Hayden, a Chamber 40 Under 40 Honoree is known as a trailblazer in the area’s agriculture community. The goal for the center is to provide insight on how the animals are raised by hosting groups that would benefit from having the educational farm experience.
