CHAMBER MATTERS 2017

Take the Owensboro Exit!

I

n April 2017, a group of elected leaders and chamber officials visited Washington DC to advocate for Owensboro projects and to connect with elected officials and key staff members. Todd Inman, former Greater Owensboro Chamber Board

Chair, had recently been appointed to a key staff position for United States Secretary of Transportation Elaine Chao. Inman scheduled a meeting with the Chamber delegation and Secretary Chao that has already had great results.

“We have made several requests throughout the years to have Owensboro on the big exit signs from Interstate 64,” said Candance Castlen Brake, President and CEO of the Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce. A big thank

you goes to Secretar y Chao and her staff for making this happen. Kentucky is fortunate to have such an advocate in the Department of Transportation. Owensboro is certainly proud of Todd Inman’s role Secretar y Chao’s staff.”
