JA of West Kentucky to sponsor breakfast Junior Achievement of West Kentucky (JA) is proud to serve as the December sponsor for the Rooster Booster breakfast. Here at JA we give young people the knowledge and skills they need to be college and career ready, plan for their future, and make smart academic and economic choices. Our corporate and community volunteers deliver impactful experiences that give students from kindergarten through 12th grade the knowledge and skills in financial literacy, work-readiness, and entrepreneurship. JA empowers students to make a connection between what
they learn in school and how it can be applied in the real world — enhancing the relevance of their classroom learning and increasing their understanding of the value of staying in school. 20 years of independent research confirms our positive
impact on students’ knowledge, skill development and attitudes. When asked if being a JA student positively af fected their future, 92 percent of JA Alumni responded with a resounding “Yes.” JA students graduate high school and go on to college at
dramatically higher rates than their peers, and JA Alumni are twice as likely to own their own business one day! JA moves kids from “I Can’t” to “I Can”! As the business community’s non-profit, together we empower over 9,900 local young people in Daviess County to own their economic success, increase the vitality of our communities, and contribute to the availability of a well-educated workforce. YOUR continued support will allow us to reach a new generation of students with life-changing financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship programs.
