CHAMBER MATTERS 2021
DEC.
SUPPORT SMALL BUSINESSES WITH
SHOP OWENSBORO 2021
The Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce and Independence Bank kicked off Shop Owensboro 2021 last Saturday at the Owensboro Convention Center Shop Owensboro was created to elevate the well-known Small Business Saturday concept, with a focus on shopping local with Chamber Members. Due to last year’s success, we are once again expanding Shop Owensboro to encompass a full week where we encourage people all over the region to continue supporting local using the deals and discounts. Customers are encouraged to remember that many of our shops have alternative shopping methods available including curbside pick-up, online and phone ordering. “It is more important than ever to support our local retail and restaurant community,” said Candance Castlen
Brake, Chamber President and CEO. “These businesses make Owensboro unique and do so much to drive our
community. This is an opportunity to encourage Owensboro to show their support of these businesses and keep
their money where their heart is this holiday season – and year-round.” Bingo Cards are in our signature shopping bags and are also available at retailers. To play Shop Owensboro Bingo, collect stamps on your card from stores you purchase items from throughout the week. Bingo or not, we want to see all the places shoppers supported, so make sure to ask for those stamps at every register! Purchases made online through local retails or through curbside pick-up, delivery or drive-thru can provide proof of purchase in lieu of a stamp. Bingo cards should be returned to the Chamber office (200 East 3rd Street) by Friday, December 10 at noon for a chance to win one of our two grand prizes – a $250 gift card courtesy of our sponsor, Independence Bank. Keep your money where your heart is... Shop Owensboro!
