WELCOME HIGHLANDERS FANS
TO THE 2020 FOOTBALL SEASON>>> The spirit of the Fighting Highlander is to persevere against adversity, sometimes against seemingly insurmountable odds. To never accept defeat, but rather to see a losing quarter or half as a temporary setback on the journey to better versions of ourselves- That is what it means to be a Fighting Highlander. The skills and dispositions learned on the field are invaluable for our student athletes, as each one of them develops a sense of him or herself. Recognizing the essential nature of competition in all that we do prepares us to succeed and thrive in a world of ever-increasing complexity and challenges. Most importantly, though, are lessons of sportsmanship and camaraderie that are fostered as a Fighting Highlander. The Baldwin High School Fighting Highlanders welcome friends, family, and competitors to our School. We recognize the opportunity to grow, learn, and improve in every interaction, whether on the field or off, and we are certain that we will prove to be a worthy adversary for you. Sincerely,
BALDWIN

>>A MESSAGE FROM THE FOOTBALL
HEAD COACH DEAR FANS,
The Baldwin Fighting Highlanders Varsity and Junior High Football Staffs would like to welcome all students, teachers, administrators, members of the community from the opposing team, and everyone from the Baldwin community. The student athletes on display this evening have worked tremendously hard throughout the course of the year to try their very best this evening and your support and encouragement is truly meaningful as it is needed. Baldwin is a proud football community that has demonstrated its support of our football program by the fans who attend home games and travel with us when we are on the road; the tireless school-spirit derived from our cheerleaders and band; the parents of our players; and, all of our teachers and administrators throughout the Baldwin school district. Our Booster’s Club is the lifeblood our football program and we are particularly thankful and grateful for the parents involved in the club including Beth Strayer (President), Chris Tamborino (Vice President), Heather Tamborino (Treasurer), Michelle Hartman (Secretary), and the parents who attend and participate
in our board meetings and fundraising activities. The Booster’s Club provides pregame meals, clothing, meals after road games, and many other items that our football program needs that is not provided otherwise. We thank all of them very much. We would also like to recognize and thank Jay Saras (Athletic Director), Shaun Tomaszewski (High School Principal), Dr. Randy Lutz (Superintendent), Diane Kennard (Athletic Office), and the Baldwin School Board members for their support of the football program. We are hoping that both teams play their best game this evening with the winners remaining humble and the losers understanding the need to be resilient. Please enjoy your evening and all of us hope that all of the players remain safe which is most important. THANK YOU FOR ATTENDING THE GAME AND HAVE A SAFE TRIP HOME.
