WELCOME PIONEERS FANS
TO THE 2021 FALL SPORTS SEASON>>>
WELCOME ALUMNI, PARENTS, STUDENTS AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO THE 2021 SANDY HIGH SCHOOL FALL SPORTS SEASON! It is definitely not the season we were expecting. Even though we have a limited number of spectators, we still have the most supportive and positive crowd in the Mt. Hood Conference. The coaching staffs have committed numerous hours since last spring to truly prepare student-athletes who are connected to their school and community. With ever changing regulations and guidelines, the coaching staff has strived to keep the team connected. As fans, please respect all of the hard work and dedication put in by our athletes and model good sportsmanship in the stands and social media. We are thrilled that our athletes get a season and do not want to jeopardize it in any way. Please abide by all COVID related regulations such as limited spectators, social distancing and wearing your mask. Thank you for your ongoing support of SandyHigh School.

HEAD COACH >>A MESSAGE FROM THE FOOTBALL
We did it! We got to the season!! To say that this football season is different this year compared to all other seasons is an understatement of all understatements. I can tell you this, each day we get to spend together as a team is a gift. 2020 taught us to cherish these moments that we have together and be grateful for what we have! I am just so incredibly excited to get this opportunity and we have prepared hard to seize every one of these opportunities we have! This is my 18th year coaching football, 5th as a Head Coach, and 2nd serving as the Sandy Pioneers Head Football Coach. In my short time at Sandy I have been so impressed by our student athletes and their willingness to buy into the vision I have laid out for the program. Our program is built a solid foundation that teaches our boys how to be men that are built for others. My football players have bought in to this vision and have worked incredibly hard to EARN IT on and off the field. Our program at all levels will follow the foundational values of: Family, Accountability, Citizenship and “Earn It.” Our kids will know that they belong to a family that goes beyond friendship to brotherhood. They will be held accountable for their actions and learn to be good teammates. They will serve together in our community and be taught how to be leaders and great citizens. They will learn to work towards their goals and be encouraged to “Earn It.” My hope is that our football program changes kids’ lives and that they in turn change our community for good. I coach football because it gives me the best platform that I know of to have this kind of impact. I am blessed to have the support of my beautiful wife Kameron as well as my incredible family. I also have the great fortune to surround myself with an amazing coaching staff that has bought into this vision, and that puts coaching the young man above coaching the athlete. Together we will build State Champions both on and off the field!
"WE ARE A FAMILY THAT'S ACCOUNTABLE FOR OUR ACTIONS TO BE GOOD CITIZENS THAT EARN ITEVERY DAY!"
Coach Dill Josh Dill >> VARSITY HEAD COACH My name is Josh Dill and this is my 2nd year as the Head Football Coach at Sandy High School where I also serve as a PE Teacher. I am incredibly honored and excited to continue to serve this community in this position. Our program at all levels will follow the foundational values of: Family, Accountability, Citizenship and “Earn It.” Our kids will know that they belong to a family that goes beyond friendship to brotherhood. Lihau Perreira >> VARSITY HEAD COACH As a long time local of the community, Coach Perreira is ecstatic to be back in her home town coaching in the town she loves surrounded by people she loves. Perreira graduated from Sam Barlow High School, where she was a fouryear letterman as a hitter for the Bruins. She then graduated from Mt. Hood Community College where she played volleyball for another two years. In 2012 and 2013 the Saints were named Southern Region Champions and went on to place in the top 5 at the NWACC tournament both years. Perreira was also named MVP of the Southern Region in 2013 as well as earning a spot as an AVCA AllAmerican. In 2015, Perreira coached a season with Sandy High School as the JV2 Head volleyball coach as well as a season at MHAC volleyball club. At season's end, she went on to play one more year at Holy Names University, a Division 2 school in the PacWest conference. Perreira is excited to coach in a town where the community is so close and supportive of the athletic programs. She is excited for the future of this program and feels so fortunate to be in this position. Off the court, she loves to spend time with her family, singing and playing music, fishing on the Sandy river and spending time on or in the water.
