Mental Health
Mental health is our emotional, behavioral, and cognitive well-being. Mental health exists on a complex continuum and is experienced di erently from one person to the next.
The state of our mental health influences how we think, how we feel, and how we behave (e.g. ability to regulate our emotions so that we don’t get so frustrated we end up causing harm).
When we are feeling mentally healthy, we are able to better handle stress, interact with others, and make good decisions.

Find time for you.
Make time for the activities that make you feel happy and fulfilled (hobbies, self-care, connecting with family/friends, etc.)
Be sure to check in.
Get in touch with how you are feeling on a daily basis. Focusing on the present can help us enjoy things that are happening now and minimize any negative feelings we have about things that have happened in the past or things that could happen in the future
Prioritize physical wellbeing.
Take care of your body - the brain is an organ and its functioning is heavily influenced by the health of the whole system. By getting enough sleep, eating healthy food, and moving your body, you are also looking out for your mental health
