In True Fashion: How This Newest GoGirl Team Member, Jeunesse Entrepreneur, and Future Fashion Designer is Making Her Dreams Come True by Empowering Others

To kick off our highly anticipated summer 2021 issue, we’re shining the big, bright-pink spotlight on GoGirl’s newest squad member and future celebrity fashion designer, 20-year-old Maria Fernanda Dominguez. Meet Mexico’s mover and shaker and see how she’s making big things happen for herself — and others. We truly think you’re going to dig her style.

Deeply inspired by the unforgettable life and times of iconic French fashion designer, Coco Chanel, Maria Fernanda Dominguez understands attaining iconic fashion designer status takes endless amounts of discipline, determination, and dream catching. It also requires realizing your shortcomings, learning to overcome obstacles, and forging forward no matter what lies ahead. It also means understanding that doors will inevitably slam in your face at different points along your journey. But, none of this is stopping this Latina beauty from going straight to the top!

Dancing to Designing

Born and bred in Yucatan’s culturally rich, colonial capital known as Medina, located in the vibrant, Northwest region of Mexico, Maria was introduced to the art of discipline and the value of honest, hard work at an early age. A trained dancer since the age of three, Maria started each day with dance instruction followed by her academic studies. Born into a low-income family, Maria’s mother sold clothes and secondhand sundries, while her father was employed with the local police department. Her parents’ tireless work ethic would eventually shape, influence, and enrich Maria’s own hard work ethos and unconditional values that would continue to inspire her goals for a lifetime. Showing up early for dance classes, then going to school afterwards, followed by performing in recitals throughout the region on the weekends, Maria quickly discovered the keys to success at an early age — earlier than most. Though her childhood proved challenging at times due to financial scarcity, Maria insists she would never change a thing about her humbled past. “I wouldn’t change anything from my childhood, for that has made me the person I am today — disciplined, fighting, and enterprising.”

Her affinity for fashion started at a young age, too. Her mother and grandmother would create fun, trendsetting styles by hand. Seeing how fashion plays a role in peoples’ feelings and how they carry themselves in society, especially when they don styles and looks they love, Maria soon learned she was onto something really special. She wanted

to make people feel admired and adored through her fashion designs. Seeing people happy makes Maria feel confident and complete in her own life.

Currently in her third semester at University, Maria is just getting started. She is positive fashion will be her lifelong career and plans to develop her own, unique brand in her homeland of Mexico, eventually expanding internationally. Creating fashion designs exclusively clothed from her hometown region of bustling Yucatan, Maria hopes to offer a fresh take on a cherished Mexican trend.

Her Message to the Working World

Despite her seemingly unperturbed career trajectory, the proverbial road to riches hasn’t exactly been a smooth one, having endured her share of “No, thank you’s” along the way. Maria wants the world to know that being young shouldn’t be a deterrent to fulfilling your entrepreneurial dreams and lifelong desires. Young minds are innovative and open to fresh, new ideas, trends, and groundbreaking disruptions. She encourages the fashion industry – and all industries – to take chances on younger people just starting out with their careers because they’re a treasure trove overflowing with adventure and world-changing innovation. Plus, most young people are hungry to get their hands dirty, work hard, and make things happen.

Leading the Charge in Female Empowerment South of the Border and Beyond

As Chief Advisor for GoGirl Worldwide Magazine’s Latin expansion endeavor, Maria is also a successful earning consultant for Jeunesse, enabling her to fund her academic studies at University, while working on her fashion designs. GoGirl Worldwide Magazine CEO/Founder Jennifer Murphy became enamored with Maria’s impressive work ethic, fast-growing Jeunesse team-building skills, knowledge, drive, and love for empowering other women — the ultimate GoGirl manifesto for leading a meaningful life and manifesting

financial success! Jennifer acquired Maria’s expertise as part of the on-going initiative to expand GoGirl distribution and licensing in historically impoverished countries where female empowerment, education, and upward mobility is alarmingly lacking. An invaluable asset to the international GoGirl brand mission, Maria is poised to encourage unification, empowerment, and education within the Latin American region, while exposing Latin ladies to unconventional ways of earning high-incomes and living independent, rich, and rewarding lives on their terms. “It’s amazing to know that a prestigious magazine like GoGirl Worldwide has put its trust in me to be one of its executives at its Mexican headquarters. I’m so grateful to Jennifer Murphy and her entire team, not only because she creates an inviting space for women’s empowerment with the GoGirl multimedia brand, but she also drives women like myself by spotlighting other women’s inspirational stories, offering educational digital content/products, and helping you reach your fullest potential,” Maria gushes.

One busy GoGirl, Maria also works as an independent consultant with the global Jeunesse line of legendary beauty and wellness products. Maria loves how the billion-dollar beauty brand continues to make a positive impact on the lives of women (and men) all around the globe through their excellent entrepreneurial opportunities, highquality products, and philanthropic efforts. “Jeunesse has opened the doors for me and I have been able to work with them in such a special way. Besides allowing me to pay for my studies at University, the most beautiful thing is I get to empower myself in the process. What a beautiful thing it is to have a very good income, plus amazing products to highlight and enhance your own unique beauty!” Maria exclaims.

The Fear of Failure and the Importance of Evolution

Maria understands fear of failure invariably exists in the backs of most entrepreneurs’ minds and is part of the growth process, but refuses to allow it to manifest her mindset. One of her biggest obstacles in fashion designing is constantly finding fun and inventive ways to evolve. She understands fashion trends come and go and come back again and knows that learning to adapt, overcome, and evolve are the keys to longterm success in such a competitive, everchanging industry. Also, learning how to graciously accept criticism along the way is something she knows she’ll need to work on!

While Mara’s path to world-renowned, distinguished fashion designer is currently a work-in-progress, we have no doubt we’ll be spotting her timeless, head-turning styles gracing the international catwalks – and our closets – in the near future. Congrats, Maria, on your continued success with Jeunesse and a warm welcome to the GoGirl Worldwide Magazine team.

The Unforgettable

and The Making of a Model Citizen

There’s more to the man behind that signature, sunlit mane, massive muscles, and who made “male model” an industry term than meets the eye. Meet our larger-than-life GoGuy . . . the one . . . the only . . . the inimitable Fabio!

The original Italian Stallion who reigned supreme as the iconic romance cover model through the 80s and 90s, Fabio Lanzoni was born in 1959 in Milan, Italy to a wealthy, global industrialist father and former beauty queen mother. After defying his father’s wishes, a young, freespirited Fabio set off to seek adventure, ala The American Dream, and left his native Italy at the age of 19 and never looked back. Soon enough, the guy with the gleaming grin, irresistible Italian accent, and that well-built, bronzed body had successfully procured over 2000 romance novel book covers gratuitously displaying his flowing, flaxen locks, along with countless calendars, commercials, and television and film cameos. And, the beginning of the beefcake model was born. The stuff of schoolgirl crushes and the leading star of desperate housewives’ forbidden fantasies, the man mononymously known as Fabio found fame and fortune — and females — faster than most seeking the coveted, star-studded spotlight. Yet with all the instant fame, fortune, flings, and life in the fast lane, Fabio found himself the subject of endless mockery, jokes, parodies — both on-air and off. Here, the side of the OG male supermodel sensation you’ve never seen and how this 80s hunky heartthrob turned badass business guru is getting the last laugh.

That smooth, chiseled chest and striking, six-foot-two frame you can spot anywhere. The epitome of Adonis-like perfection even at 62, Fabio has still got that jaw-dropping sex appeal he had decades ago, commanding a collective breath from a room full of swooning women, inquisitive stares, and head turns wherever he goes. Undeniably and eternally recognizable, the sexy star of the innocuously cheeky “I Cannot Believe It’s Not Butter” commercials, divides much of his time between Los Angeles and his 500-acre, secluded estate in the peaceful, densely wooded Pacific Northwest. An overnight sensation who successfully managed to sustain instant success and not squander his sizeable fortune, Fabio never married and is still on the hunt for his Mrs. Right. The perennially single stud fiercely protects his privacy, refusing to have a social footprint. Though he understands why so many stars choose to update their fans by sharing pics and otherwise private moments through social media, you will never find a 50-character tweet or a gratuitous pic posted to the ‘Gram from this guy.

From the Italian Alps to the Big Apple: A Star is Born

Growing up, the aspiring model spent winters in the pristine Italian Alps with this family and summers dedicated to moto sports around the family’s sprawling Adriatic beach estate. It was a privileged, comfortable upbringing until it wasn’t. Shortly after arriving in NYC, Fabio’s father financially disowned his son, swearing he’d soon return “once he got America out of his system.” That never happened. And, Fabio found a way to continue to fund a posh lifestyle. Days after arriving in the Big Apple, Fabio was signed to legendary Ford Models and was immediately cast as the leading male model in a GAP clothing campaign, frolicking on the sunsoaked, sandy shores of the South Pacific’s Hawaiian Islands with other mentionable, sexy starlets, such as 80s supermodel sensation Kathy Ireland and actress Andie McDowell, and was paid $100K for his troubles. The 80s were just beginning to heat up for Fabio who would soon shoot to sex symbol status with bevies of willing beauties at his disposable and big pay days. Named Sexiest Man in the World by Cosmopolitan Magazine and Sexiest Man Alive by People Magazine, respectively, there’s more to the man behind the muscle who has managed to forever embed himself into the fantasies of Gen-X women everywhere. Behind the tanned, testosteronefueled cultural phenomenon is a brain responsible for some pretty shrewd business transactions. Who knew?

The Mind Behind the Muscle Machine

Besides gracing a myriad of magazine and romance novel book covers and appearing in countless calendars, commercials, cameos, and other glamourous accolades, leaving millions of women breathless in his wake, Fabio launched his first casual clothing line for women for Sam’s Club, a division of Walmart, in 2003. He followed up with more entrepreneurial enterprising with a fitness book and produced a workout video fittingly entitled, “Fabio Fitness.” A lesser-known business endeavor, Fabio founded Healthy Planet Vitamins, a supplement brand centered around premium whey protein powders and glutamine and colostrum-based products.

Smart, Sexy, and Politically Savvy

A devout American patriot and proponent of the American political system, Fabio proudly became a naturalized American citizen in

Los Angeles in 2016 — just in time for the contentious U. S. election between then-candidates Donald Trump and Hilary Clinton. It’s no surprise the longlocked blond is a staunch supporter of former President Donald Trump and unwavering conservative of the The day Fabio became fundamentals of a U.S. citizen American liberty, the Constitution, and the American Dream. Since he acquired his American citizenship, the dashing star has appeared on several right-wing news outlets, including Fox News’ Tucker Carlson Tonight, where he publicly and unabashedly came out against then-California Governor Jerry Brown and the radical, crime-inducing liberal policies that continue to plague the Golden State. Unexpectedly animated, captivatingly expressive, and deeply insightful, the 80s sex icon has no qualms speaking his mind about what the matters affecting our country the most, including the on-going decimation of the culture, anti-cop rhetoric, and hurtful policies that are disproportionately impacting the middle class. And, don’t get him started on the insanely dangerous California laws that mind-blowingly release repeat criminals back onto the streets the same day they’re arrested, as Fabio was the unfortunate victim of a brazen home invasion a few years back.

The Next Chapter for the Romance Novel Cover Model

Enjoying months at a time at his gorgeous Washington State abode, replete with a cascading waterfall, is one of the many reasons the humbled heartthrob adores his legions of fawning female fans and never minds being approached by anyone asking for an autograph or snapshot. He once told The Washington Post, “It’s because of them that I have everything.” Hard to believe by many, Fabio was never ignorant of the mockery that surrounded his fame. Often the subject of light-hearted ridicule and laughter by late night show hosts, comics, and on-screen parodies, Fabio refuses to harbor ill will and has no regrets. He never counterattacked his satirists, critics, or haters, and insisted he used the industry for what it was worth — and made out pretty well in the process. Currently, his manager’s cell rings relentlessly from the overzealous, persistent producers of Dancing with the Stars, The Bachelor, Celebrity Apprentice, and other bingeworthy, reality television guilty pleasures, but, sadly for them, they’re

Romance Novel Covers will they ever be.

The 411 on Fabio: Five Fun Facts You Probably Didn’t Know

A self-professed private person, there are probably a few things you never knew about the reticent star, such as:

1. Size matters. Fabio sports a bulging, 56-inch chest, while the average male chest measures just around 40 inches! This explains all the pics depicting his prodigious pectorals peering out from beneath those silk shirts.

2. Fabio doesn’t have a sweet tooth! His mother once told a journalist he would invariably spit out sweet treats as a baby.

3. Less is more. Fabio survives on a highprotein, squeaky-clean diet of egg whites, rice, olive oil, veggies, water, Earl Grey tea, and protein shakes.

4. He’s an adrenaline junkie. Fabio spends a lot of his free time riding motorcycles and partaking in moto sports.

5. He’s ferociously chivalrous and protective of his women and female friends in general. He once got into a hotly publicized encounter with A-list actor George

Clooney over some misogynistic not-sonice comments Mr. Clooney had hurled at Fabio’s dinner date at a Los Angeles restaurant. The entire combative encounter that escalated into a near-takedown was duly reported and published in some of the industry’s most salacious tabloids the following week.

A Personal Message to GoGirls

Fabio’s parting message to GoGirls and aspiring GoGirls? Never accept a job because of the money. Nothing stinks worse than desperation. He’s been very outspoken regarding his stance on accepting projects that may be deemed dubious or have the potential to cast an unflattering light. “Why do you have to do something that’s degrading? For the money? There’s not enough money in this world to make me do something degrading.” Now, of course the “something that is degrading” is subjective and one might counter that Fabio has lived a rather rich life — both monetarily and otherwise — and can afford to be persnickety regarding where his paychecks come from. However, admittedly, his sage advice, is a rather timely one is an age where so many have flippantly renounced their souls just to make a quick buck. And, while material wealth and opulent possessions are always nice-to-haves, it’s living a life filled with meaning and purpose that is one truly worth living.

HOW JEN CAME TO KNOW FABIO

I met Fabio at a Halloween Party in 2019 at a beautiful mansion in Orange County. There were hundreds of people dressed in costume, but Fabio was dressed a “Fabio”. He definitely stood out, and you could hear whispers of excitement from many of the guests who couldn’t believe they had a chance to converse and take pictures with the iconic man. I was dressed as GoGirl (I know, big surprise! Lol) pink cape and all, and when my friend Cherelle introduced me to Fabio she told him that I was former Miss Oregon and the founder of GoGirl Worldwide. During our brief, yet interesting conversation, I learned that he owned a 500 acre ranch in Washington that had waterfalls, three lakes and all kinds of wildlife. We definitely connected about our love for the Pacific Northwest and the great outdoors. But midnight struck, and I was off before the carriage turned into a pumpkin. A couple days later my friend told me that Fabio wanted to ask me out to dinner. I replied, “Who could turn down Fabio?!” I agreed she could give him my number and that same day he and I had a long phone conversation during which I already began to realize that this man was more than just a sexy cover. He had heart and depth, a love for his family, dedication and gratitude for becoming an American citizen, an entrepreneurial spirit and most of all a fearlessness and zest for living life to the fullest. He was also extremely witty and funny, making me belly-laugh many times. When Fabio pulled up to take me on our first dinner date, he was very much a gentleman who obviously respects women and traditional values. Learning later about the strong relationship he had always had with his Mother, as well as the passion and emotion he displayed when telling me about how he tried to save his sister’s life through alternative means to treat her cancer, I could see that he had not lived a challengefree life. But what I also saw was that he chooses in life to be happy-hearted even when dealing with tough things, as well as appreciates the little, daily joys in life.

Walking through the Winery restaurant in Newport Beach, my long hair flowing and Fabio a few strides behind with his long hair flowing just as much, we certainly had all eyes on us. Several ladies came up during our dinner and “My GoGirl Superhero Costume asked for a photo the night I met Fabio” with Fabio. He (My friend Rachel Caviston as graciously agreed Wonder Woman) and was very kind to them. He told me, “These are my fans. Where would I be without them. I’m grateful to them.”

Over the past coupe of years I’ve become good friends with Fabio, and we keep in touch regularly. He’s even cooked me his favorite pasta dish from scratch! Fabio loves the work I do to empower others, especially girls and women. And he likes that I stand up for our liberties and freedoms. Often he sends me hilarious memes and funny videos. When I have a new, funny video finished I’ve completed, I send it his way too. I’m looking forward to teaming up with Fabio to make a funny comedic skit together, as well as have him as a guest on my show. But I didn’t want my GoGirls to wait any longer to learn more about our larger-than-life GoGuy! I hope his story gives you some great take-aways. Thank you to Nicole for writing such an insightful and empowering piece!
