Hi to all my GoGirls, and GoGuys too!
It’s been a hot minute since we launched another exciting, fun issue of GoGirl Worldwide Magazine. Over the past two and a half years I was busy writing, producing, directing, starring in, and editing my very first feature film “I Want To Be Neenja! The Movie.” For those who’ve followed my GoGirl journey, I’ve always emphasized the importance of going for your dreams and crushing your goals. And I had to practice what I’ve always preached. To say the journey has been a challenge would be an understatement, but I’m thrilled to say I’ve finally completed my film, hosted an old-Hollywood glamour premiere in Beverly Hills, got distribution, and am now in the intense marketing phase. It took way longer than I expected… but, I did it!
Now that my movie is out and available for everyone to enjoy, I’m excited I’ve had more bandwidth to create and publish a very new edition of GoGirl Worldwide Magazine. with the support of my talented team.
We put our hearts and souls into this edition, which includes numerous brave and inspirational female entrepreneurs and philanthropists, as well as a couple of outstanding and resilient GoGuys. Our cover GoGirl Tal Navarro is a personal friend of mine and a brilliant businesswoman who teaches female entrepreneurs how to empower their business with the use of A.I. technology.
After the devastating California fires in January that ravaged much of Los Angeles County, I teamed up with three other philanthropy-driven women to form an organization called “Hearts on Fire.” Our initial project took place at A Divine H20 on Sunset Boulevard in the heart of West Hollywood where countless volunteers brought donations for our charity drive, benefitting the victims who lost everything in the fires. Our upcoming projects and charity galas are in the works, so please stay tuned to learn how you can support or be part of something special that helps others. It’s truly a GoGirl mission!
I’m especially excited to introduce something new to the GoGirl brand. Be sure not to miss the GoGirl Travel article to learn about the newest GoGirl Worldwide partnership that will truly set your sails for custom, curated GoGirl getaways and fun, fabulous adventures. And, as you’ll see, GoGuys are invited too! In this edition, we do a special travel spotlight on one of spring’s hottest destinations, Charleston, South Carolina. A city that evokes true southern charm, from its rich history, enduring cobblestone streets, and an award-winning culinary scene. It’s definitely on my bucket list of travel destinations and I have a feeling you’ll add it to your list after a peek into this truly historic and beautiful city.
The beauty and wellness sections are full of insider nuggets sure to bring value, versatility, and knowledge into your daily routines, helping every GoGirl to feel healthier and more beautiful from the inside-out. As I sit here contemplating my thoughts for my message to all our loyal — and new — readers, it’s just a few months into the year. It’s hard to imagine 2025 means we’re already a quarter way through this century! It’s been nearly two and a half years since our last GoGirl issue. Following full development and a pre-production schedule, we finally shot our very first GoGirl Worldwide feature film, I Want to Be Neenja! The Movie and rolled out its Pink Carpet premiere this past summer at a nostalgic theater in Beverly Hills, reminiscent of Old Hollywood. After a rigorous shooting and editing schedule, we got to celebrate and party it up with cast, crew, friends, and all our GoGirl glam fam we've come to love over the years, in full formal attire I might add! Another well-deserved milestone for our growing multimedia brand. I couldn’t be more thrilled about parlaying my film and theater background with a driven brand I’ve come to cherish so deeply. It's the best of both worlds. I feel truly blessed.
And that’s just the beginning to the conveyor belt of blessings I have and the hope and excitement I feel for what’s to come. This year denotes a certain significance that simply cannot be overstated. Never one to rush away the hours, days, weeks or months of my life, regardless of how tumultuous times can sometimes be. You’ll never hear me utter, “Thank God it’s Friday!” I’ve learned the Fridays come — and go — fast enough. No need to wish away our precious days. However, this year is vastly different. I wish I could find a fast-forward button of sorts or a time capsule to catapult me straight to all the wonderful and amazing things I know are going to happen — in business/ entrepreneurship, economics, culture, art, entertainment, philanthropy, self-improvement and growth and beyond. The list goes on. This is our year, GoGirl !
In this issue, you’ll meet a refreshingly fearless woman named Tal, who is famous for publicly advocating for women’s rights, as well as teaching business owners how to empower themselves with A.I technology. She's an entrepreneur, actress, model, and one of the internet’s biggest, most influential social media stars. We’ll also introduce you to another GoGirl who’s got our wheels turning coast to coast! Plus, we’d be remiss if we didn’t customarily sprinkle in some testosterone with our latest GoGuy who you’re just going to fall head-over-high-heels in love with! There’s your sneak peek into our first issue of 2025. Here at GoGirl are cooking up something special in the works to further our platform and reach even more fervent fans and longtime supporters of the GoGirl brand, so stay tuned.
Blessed wishes to you all and see you on the next issue! Happy reading!

Marketing maven-turned-teacher, Katie Blomquist, resolved to use her love of education and altruism to start an unprecedented nonprofit that’s gaining speed and has us spinning our wheels — in the best of ways!
After befriending and mentoring a very special student, she had no idea what would happen next . . .
Born and raised in the sun-drenched city of Los Angeles to an upper middle-class family, Katie learned from an early age she was blessed with opportunities, experiences, and an education most could only dream of. Not to mention, a loving, supportive, and nurturing family highlighted with memorable childhood moments that would lay the foundation for her bright, salient future. Katie had the best life had to offer, but it never went unbeknownst to her, even at a young, impressionable age. Her parents made certain she was aware of her privileged lot in life and instilled in her the importance of gratitude and giving back. Growing up, Katie would find herself working alongside her mother for the local charity, quickly understanding the power of helping others and changing lives. She also recounts working summers as a camp counselor for underprivileged youth, taking on challenging leadership roles and developing a deep empathy for children in need.
And, so it would begin…
Following her graduation from the University of Colorado in Boulder with a degree in sociology, Katie moved to the Windy City and embarked on a stable, sensible career in marketing. Living in a new,
exciting city that was very much different from the idyllic coastal seascapes and the glitz and glam of Tinsel Town she was accustomed to seemed thrilling. There was an unmistakable fire waiting to be set ablaze inside her. She could feel it right down to her bones but didn’t know how to get those eager embers burning. Before too long, Katie would find herself back behind a desk with her head in the books. This time, she was studying for her masters in elementary education. Nine months after attaining her graduate degree, Katie continued further eastward with a masters-in-hand and a missionin-mind. She settled in the quaint, ultracharming, Southern city of Charleston on the coast of South Carlonia and began teaching for disenfranchised children at an elementary school in the Lowcountry region. It was during this critical time in her journey as an elementary school teacher, Katie would realize the unsettling realities many children face daily, putting her mission into motion.
In 2016, Katie was a first-grade teacher at an elementary school where many low-income children attended. Here, she would come to meet the little boy that would ignite her passion for paying it forward. Sweet, sixyear-old Jawan lived with his older brother and grandmother in a small household where the basics were often scarce. While a tempered student, Jawan displayed behavioral issues, like “stalling” to avoid doing work or getting engaged in classroom lessons. It worked like a charm, until Katie came along. The rookie elementary school
Katie and her efforts went viral in the media, including being featured on a full episode of Steve Harvey's show.
teacher took an unconventional approach to get the hopeful student on the right path to early scholarly success, by bonding with the boy in hopes for better engagement and progressive outcomes. She decisively introduced Jawan to an entire world of exciting experiences otherwise unknown to him, explaining education is the gateway to the best life has to offer. They went to plays, music stores, sit-down eateries, and even took a boat ride and went to the beach! Places and things many children — and even some adults — take for granted.
For Jawan’s seventh birthday, Katie had an
extra-special day planned. She learned there was going to be no celebration planned at home due to financial constraints, and she simply couldn’t let that happen. Every child deserves a yearly birthday bash with gifts, cake, cookies, clowns, and even bouncy houses! So, Katie made it her mission to make Jawan’s seventh circle around the sun an unforgettable one. After school, the teacher-student duo set off on one of their many adventure-packed outings. They jumped for joy in an indoor bouncy house, then it was off to Chick-fil-A for dinner, a place Jawan had been dreaming of trying, but never got to. Until now.
Then, it came time for the encore — a trip to Walmart where Jawan was to pick out his birthday present.
The gift Jawan set his twinkling, curious eyes upon seemed a simple one. A childhood staple. A brand-new, shiny bike. But, on a teacher’s modest salary, Katie was unable to afford it. The trip to the toy section in Walmart would haunt Katie long after. As they left the store, the image of Jawan imagining a world where that bike was his stayed with Katie. Like many, she had just assumed he had a bike. Didn’t all kids have a bike they could call their own? After all, she had a bike when she was just seven years old. Another fond memory she quickly realized she’d taken for granted. A bike was supposed to be a fundamental rite of passage in a child’s life, symbolizing freedom, fun, friends, adventure, and that first taste of independence. A bike was a no-brainer in a kid’s life. Who could forget riding bikes with their neighborhood friends, setting off for hours upon hours a day, to explore new, uncharted child territory around town? It was like a capsule to another realm where adults weren’t allowed. The sanctity of the humble two-wheeler.
The
When Katie asked the other students in her class if they had bikes, most replied with a resounding “no.” Turns out this timeless, childhood rite of passage isn’t afforded by
every child, and is a luxury for many. It was in that very moment, Katie’s mission shifted, and the wheels started spinning. She had to do something. She had to make a difference. She realized her mission, all she needed to do what execute. She refused to let those kids miss out on all the same memories she experienced as a child, the ones that defined her youth and shaped her adulthood.
Those seeds of gratitude and giving back that were planted as a child so long ago, have now sprouted to full philanthropy status. Enter the launch of her Every Kid Deserves a Bike GoFundMe campaign to raise enough money to gift a brand-new bike to all 650 students at her elementary school. What a feat! And could it even be done? Katie was determined to try. In over three months, the first-of-its-kind campaign went viral, garnering over $80,000 and was featured on Good Morning America, The Today Show, NBC Nightly News, Time Magazine, USA Today, The Post, and other legendary media outlets.
However, the stakes were getting higher, so Katie upped the ante. She started/founded Going Places in 2017, a unique nonprofit whose mission is to provide impoverished children with the most basic childhood right — joy. Poverty-stricken children not only must contend with their studies at school, but many of them go home to
unpredictability and even violence. Lack of stability and safety outside of school is an unfortunate reality for many children. Plus, being in a perpetual state of distress during those critical seminal years, as is the case for most impoverished children, can wreak havoc on a child’s mental and emotional well-being. Something as basic as a bicycle would offer more than just a means of getting from here to there, but a sense of fun, freedom, independence, adventure, and escape. A bike means getting to explore beyond your immediate surroundings at home, while promoting mental and physical health and fostering friendships with peers. Going Places not only spotlights social and emotional well-being of these children, but it also seeks to develop a positive self-image and reinforce behavioral management. Moreover, something as simple as owing — and using — a bike can absolutely restore that finite childhood joy that is so ephemeral. Time is a thief. That short-lived joy goes by in the blink of an eye, then it is gone.
“A bike is more than just a toy; it’s a symbol of freedom and opportunity…Our goal is to ensure every child has the chance to experience that joy, regardless of their circumstances.”
To date, Going Places has been able to donate over 5,160 bicycles to kids across South Carolina’s Lowcountry, including accessories, such as locks, helmets, and pumps. Katie and company continue to make dreams come true one beautiful bike at a time. Currently, Katie and her team are looking to bring bikes to other cities across the United States and beyond! With every bike donated, Going Places remains steadfast
in its core mission to provide underprivileged youth with a sense of joy, freedom, and possibility, while inspiring communities to come together and support kids in need.
Katie’s greatest strengths are possessing the fortitude to push for what she believes in and the fearlessness to get it done. There are countless charitable organizations that seek to provide the basics for those in need — clothing, food, shelter, school supplies, etc. But, the undeniable power a bike can bring to a child’s life is enormous and can shape them for years to come, molding them into the adults they aspire to be. Who would’ve
thought the simple cycle would hold the key to filling a basic, psychological need, such as creating joy and changing a child’s future for the better?
“Success isn’t about never failing…it’s about taking risks and learning from every experience. Take the leap. Find ways to make it work, even if it’s tough a t first. The rewards will be worth it.”
Understanding the relentless pressure of running a nonprofit successfully, Katie loves what she does and gets to make her own hours. However, just knowing she has the power to evoke joy in a child’s heart keeps her burning the midnight oil — and keeps her motivated. It’s the transformative power of passion paired with action. It’s possible to turn a simple idea into a reality — a movement that can positively impact others and change lives. Let her remarkable story
inspire each and every GoGirl to dream big, act boldly, and spread joy and smiles in any way they can.
“Joy is a basic human need. When we give children moments of happiness, we’re not just helping them today – we’re shaping the kind of adults they’ll become.”
Let’s all put the positivity pedal to the mission pedal. To learn how you can get involved or donate, be sure to contact Katie@GoingPlacesNonprofit.org. And, don’t forget to stop by @going_places_nonprofit on Instagram to see what city Katie and her crew are riding off to next.
The Tech Queen Tells Her Inspiring Story of Taking Chances, Making Connections, and Embracing Challenges
Philanthropist, founder/CEO, investor, mother, and more. Meet the wonder woman who’s making audacious waves in AI and showing other women how to take their marketing — and motherhood — game to the next level of cyber success.
Tal Navarro isn’t just a businesswoman — she’s a fearless, multiventure leader, routinely transforming digital landscapes with razorsharp insights and entrepreneurial prowess. With multiple successful businesses spanning digital marketing, AI, blockchain, and educational technology, Tal reps a rare breed of global “businesswoman-leaderfounder” who doesn’t just adapt to change, she creates it.
Her professional CV reads like a masterclass in strategic entrepreneurship: founder of her country’s first digital marketing college, creator of multiple digital agencies, a nonprofit innovator, and a pioneering voice in AI-driven marketing technologies. This is a woman who has built empires not through traditional paths, but by consistently identifying opportunities where others saw only challenges.
Her journey is a complex tapestry of technological innovation, personal resilience, and an unwavering commitment to pushing boundaries — a narrative that goes far beyond traditional success stories and delves deep into the heart of true entrepreneurial spirit. Chosen as one of Forbes’ “40 Young and Successful” persons in Israel, including one of the 50 most influential people in
“Digital/Social Media in Israel” for Timeout Magazine, and one of the 50 strongest women on Facebook in 2018 by “Lady Globes” Business Magazine, this Facebook Fairy, aptly named by Epoch Times for being one of the most influential people on the internet, is a tall order. We had the fortunate chance to catch-up with this internet-breaking sensation to talk about her trailblazing “tech-pertise,” investing, giving back, and being a crusader for social causes, all while being a devoted wife and a doting, hands-on mom to two young children. Meet the latest GoGirl to grace our glossy, digital cover.
Known across the inter webs and in business cadres as the OG social media queen, serial entrepreneur, and American dream doer, Israeli Tal Navarro, emigrated to the United States over 20 years ago in search of endless opportunity and adventure. And now she’s leading the charge in the swift emergence of AI innovation with her two decadesplus work in disruptive digital marketing and exemplar content creation. Ask Tal what she does, and she’ll clearly tell you she builds, brands, creates, and ideates for businesses anywhere in the world — from the savvy start-up to the large and legendary. No business is too big, nor too small. Tal is invariably up to the challenge as any
opportunity is a signal for growth, gratitude, and giving back, beginning with her premier, digital marketing and branding agency, Social-Lady.
After leaving her homeland of Israel and landing in the Big Apple at the adventurous age of twenty-one, Tal found herself smackdab in the heart of the concrete jungle labyrinth that was just waiting to be explored and experienced with unique opportunities at every turn. This wasn’t just a move — it was a lifeline. The early days of social media became her bridge, her connection to home. While others saw primitive messaging platforms, Tal saw possibility. She wasn’t just scrolling or posting; she was building connections and understanding how
technology could shrink the world and bring people closer together. Each message, each connection was a thread in a larger tapestry she was weaving — a network that would later become the foundation of her digital marketing empire. Her intuition told her these emerging platforms were more than just communication tools; they were the early seeds of a digital revolution that would reshape how humans interact, do business, shop, invest, and understand the world.
Her first commerce conquest? She founded her first-ever company, which eventually would come to an end, leaving her on the sun-soaked sands of the idyllic, cool Carribeean with loads of experiences, hard lessons learned, an enduring love for helping others, and a laptop. It was her passion for the unassuming — kitesurfing — that would motivate her next move. So, her next big biz included none other than a professional website replete with a blog page and a fully functioning store in the vein of pre-Shopify virtuosity. Tal was certainly ahead of her time, forging the way of what was to come for ecommerce business models as we know today — with all the bells and whistles, i.e., social media engagement, email marketing, and more. Meet the burgeoning social media maven who was determined to make it happen. “I didn’t know I was creating a marketing revolution,” she would later laugh, her eyes sparkling with the memory of those
early days. “I was just trying to sell my gear and share my passion.” But passion has a way of becoming something more. What started as a small business became a masterclass in digital marketing before the term was even coined. She was writing the rulebook as she went along, proving creativity and steadfast determination could overcome any limitation. Each post, each video was a strategic move, turning her niche passion into a global brand that spoke directly to adventure seekers and water sports enthusiasts all around the world. She built her first website and learned coding on her own from the internet when most people were still figuring out email. With time, she started using platforms, such as Facebook and YouTube to tell her story. The twinkling turquoise waters of the Caribbean became her backdrop, her passion for kitesurfing transforming into a global digital narrative that would challenge traditional marketing paradigms forever.
While her dream of shaking up the digital space seemed to just come rather naturally for entrepreneurial-obsessed Israeli-born CEO/founder, her love for helping others and empowering women in need also became a full-time passion project with her nonprofit WINWEB3.io, which utilizes blockchain innovation, as well as establishing Israel’s very first social media institution, SUMO, of higher internet learning. The original “social media college” develops comprehensive training and invaluable, real-time educational tools and resources to help some of Israel’s leading companies and organizations learn to compete in the ever-changing digital space. It wasn’t just a business, it was a mission to educate, to open doors that seemed permanently shut. She created a curriculum that was light-years ahead of traditional marketing education, bridging the gap between academic theory and the dynamic, ever-evolving digital landscape. Each class became a platform for challenging existing paradigms, empowering a new generation of digital marketers who would go on to reshape the country’s technological ecosystem. Before long, she started to invest in other startups, lecture and consult to some of the biggest brands at the retail and tech industry, from all over the world.
As artificial intelligence began to reshape the world, Tal was already there, not just observing, but actively sculpting its ethical
and human-centered implementation. Her companies — Social-Lady.com and AI Social Club — weren’t just businesses. They were laboratories of human-centered innovation, exploring the elusive balance between technological advancement and human experience. Founded in 2016 following Tal and her family’s move to Los Angeles, SocialLady was birthed from leveraging all her experiences in various elements of digital marketing and branding, leading to her ultimate American dream business. SocialLady started small, but eventually grew to employ more than a dozen digital experts globally, with Tal at the helm of a tireless, talented team of tech wizards who would help her create content and manage brands,
channels, and platforms. Their mission was cultivating messaging and identity, writing blog posts, and executing results-driven campaigns for brands, businesses, artists, media personalities, and celebrities. Tal and her team harness their reverence for tech, with a special sweet spot for the disruptive power of AI. A big believer in building, branding, growing, giving back, and gratitude, this became Tal’s foolproof formula for unmitigated success. She revered AI as a collaborative tool, a unique way to enhance human creativity rather than replace it. She saw AI not as a replacement for human creativity, but as a tool to amplify it. Her approach was holistic, considering not just the technological capabilities, but the ethical implications and the humanity aspect. Each AI solution was crafted with a deep understanding technology should serve humanity, not the other way around. She was building bridges between complex technological innovations and real-world human needs.
Suffice it to say, Tal’s most powerful work wasn’t about business, but about people. Through her successful nonprofit, WINWEB3. io, she found a way to use blockchain technology to give women facing economic hardships a path to financial independence. Not your run-of-the-mill, “cookie-cutter” charity model. This was empowerment in its purest form, a systemic approach to
addressing economic inequality through technological innovation. Tal understood true change comes not from temporary solutions, but from providing sustainable tools and platforms that enable self-sufficiency and foster financial independence.
“Technology isn’t just about algorithms and data,” she would say, her voice filled with undeniable conviction. “It’s about human potential. It’s about giving someone a chance to write their own story.” Her vision is to create a blockchain marketplace that wasn’t just a platform — but a revolution. Women could sell their art, crafts, and creativity, breaking free from traditional economic constraints. The idea is that each transaction was more than a sale, it was an act of economic and personal liberation.
Tal proves women really can have it all. Amid her groundbreaking technological ventures and entrepreneurial pursuits, Tal Navarro embraces perhaps her most challenging and rewarding role to date — being a mom to two children. Her approach to motherhood is as innovative and intentional as her business strategies — a delicate dance of professional ambition and nurturing love that defies traditional expectations and social norms. With two young children navigating the complex world of a mother who is constantly pushing technological boundaries, Tal has redefined what it means to be a modern working mother.
“Being a mother is like running the most complex startup imaginable,” she jokes, her infectious smile revealing the joy she finds in
both her professional and personal worlds. Her ability to transition seamlessly between complex AI discussions and bedtime stories is nothing short of extraordinary and enviable. “I want my children to see that success isn’t about choosing between career and family,” she explains. “It’s about integrating both with grace, passion, and authenticity.” Her children have grown up watching a mother who doesn’t just talk about breaking barriers — she lives it every single day. They’ve witnessed her building businesses, supporting women through her nonprofit, and still making time for family game nights, vacations, and weekend adventures.
Make no mistake. Tal’s entrepreneurial tech journey wasn't about perfection, but rather persistence. It was about realizing opportunity where others saw only obstacles. Her star-studded success was about understanding the most powerful technology is the one that serves humanity. “It’s all about being ready to try new things and adapt,” Tal would tell young entrepreneurs.
Tal Navarro’s story isn’t just another Forbes success narrative. It’s a true testament to the possibilities of what can happen when curiosity meets courage or when personal passion intersects with technological revolution. Her journey challenges traditional narratives about success, showing true impact comes from a well-planned synergy of strategic thinking, emotional intelligence, and an unwavering
commitment to using technology as a force for good — when it comes from the heart or wanting to help.
That is the truest measure of success.

Let’s Hear It for Award-winning Composer & International Concert Pianist
This edition, we’re shining the warm, pink spotlight on 31-year-old Georges Tomb — musical genius, fashion ambassador, cinephile, and arts aficionado who has graced some of the world’s most iconic and historic stages, like Carnegie Hall in New York City, Paris’ Le Petit Palais, Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Italy, Norris Theater in Los Angeles, Monaco’s La Belle Epoque Hall, and the Royal Cultural Center in Amman, just to name a few. GoGirl was honored to have him collaborate on our very first feature film, I Want to Be Neenja, this past year. Meet the man behind the music and find out why this bright, young musical prodigy thinks comedy is so crucial when composing awardwinning scores. We’re all ears!
“I honestly feel that it is a gift from God, a message He wants me to share with all Mankind. I have never understood how I compose, or how I start a new composition. It was always divinely there,” says Georges Tomb, award-winning composer, worldfamous concert pianist, and Carnegie Hall alum.
Beirut-born globetrotter and resident of France, Georges was born into a musically inclined family, his father was a composer and his grandmother a singer. Before the age of three, his father took him under
his tutelage and taught him to play the piano. By the age of five, he had begun writing music. This would be the start of what would become one of the most accomplished musical careers for a young person. After studying music composition and orchestration with the esteemed Conrad Pope and Christopher Young in Vienna and Los Angeles, Carnegie Hall came calling where his debut performance would be dubbed, “The Next John Williams” by the renowned Maestra Joanna Nachef. For those who may be unfamiliar with the illustrious work of Academy Award-winning, musical
mastermind, John Williams, unforgettable movie music scores like Superman, Star Wars, or Schindler’s List, including the oddly gratifying, ominous score of Jaws may ring a bell. By age 20, Georges enjoyed a series of international career recognitions when his musical compositions were performed alongside the likes of the classical greats, such as Beethoven, Mozart and Verdi at the San Reno Symphony Orchestra at The San Remo Opera House. In 2018, Georges was hailed as “The Young Morricone” following his groundbreaking music composition during a Christmas concert at the fabled Basilica Di San Marco in Milan.
Upon successfully earning his degree in engineering, Georges traveled to Europe to immerse his budding talent in the rich, cultural backdrop of some of the world’s most treasured art and hauntingly beautiful music. Eventually, he’d etch his musical path in the City of Angeles, where he would begin work on the first of fifteen feature film scores over the course of ten years. A selfprofessed night owl, Georges prefers burning the midnight oil while being draped in the peace and lucidity of the fleeting dark skies and twinkling stars. It’s during this tranquil time he can really “feel the music,” allowing the emotions to guide him.
With an enviable coterie of cherished concert halls, theaters, opera houses, and ballets
spanning America to Europe to the Middle East having all joyfully presented some of his most unforgettable pieces and delighting audiences with his arresting gift for melody and emotion, this master maestro was only just beginning. Now 31, Carnegie Hall was Georges’ first concert performance in the Big Apple, catapulting him onto the prestigious music scene. Historic and utterly iconic, his monumental Carnegie Hall performance was his honor, playing in the same legendary theater as Sinatra and other celebrated musical predecessors.
As his explosive career continues to evolve, soar, and shatter expectations, Georges is resolute on the power of staying connected with the people who don’t define him as a musician, allowing him a necessary level of humility. He perceives himself as a student
and a “small entity” in comparison to the eminent, musical virtuosos who have graced the world’s most revered concert halls, stages, and cinematic masterpieces before him. This sentient and selfless practice also help keep him perpetually inspired and motivated. “Music is magic,” declares Georges, as he uses his gift to influence people, portraying movie messages through music that seek to emote, evoke, and move the soul.
His advice to aspiring pianists? Practice, practice, and more practice. For those looking to carve a career in musical composition? Listen to as much music as possible. Sleep, eat, and drink everything music. And, never, ever give up. Be confident in your work and commit to being your own muse. His definition of living a beautiful life is focusing on the simplicity of what life has to offer and less on the expectations from others or the universe. Surround yourself with your family, friends, and the man or woman who loves and inspires you every day.
Music: Georges Joins Jennifer Murphy “GoGirl” for Original Musical Score Collaboration on “I Want to Be Neenja! The Movie”
Comedy is so important when composing music because it’s singlehandedly the most challenging thing to write for a movie soundtrack, according to Georges. GoGirl’s
first feature film, “I Want to Be Neenja! The Movie”, that premiered last spring, is a comedy/action-packed film Jen was thrilled to have Georges’ collaborative efforts, specifically with the film’s beautiful musical score. For the music to fully resonate, the duo incorporated unique instruments, like the xylophone, to create rhythmic melodies that would enhance the individual scenes’ meanings, including the deeper ones, as well as the film’s overlying narrative. Jen wrote the lyrics, while Georges wrote the music. A pitch-perfect match made in music heaven! A
40-person choir was included, which would also be used to sing some of the film’s most humorous and memorable lines in the film, giving the film a cool edge and unique style for the score. It was Georges’ first comedy film to score and first-ever movie he coproduced, making the defining experience an intriguing and exciting one. As art would have it, both George and Jen decided to use a full 65-person orchestra, ala the old Tom and Jerry cartoon series score, to add dimension, depth, and suspense to the film’s comedic narrative and larger-than-life characters.
George’s impressive and unstoppable music career is only more heightened by his love for fashion, becoming Monteblanc’s Art Ambassador for the Middle East, making his mark on art and culture on a global scale. This comes after working with luxe label, Dolce and Gabbana, for different Los Angeles-area events. In 2024, Georges was commissioned to pen Picasso, The Ballet, commemorating Picasso’s 50th anniversary, and composed the beloved ballet, Pinocchio, for Balletto Del Sud, which began touring in Italy’s Opera di Lecce last year. This past October, Georges was awarded the Crystal Prime Award in Croatia at the International Sound and Film Music Festival, one of the top three most distinguished music festivals in the world. Georges was one of the keynote speakers at the World Conference on Creative Economy in Tashkent, where he discussed the ever-evolving influence of music on broader creative landscapes.
Currently, Georges is composing the music for Broadway’s slated to debut early spring in Europe. He was awarded Best Soundtrack for a Feature Film at the Hollywood International Golden Age Film Festival in New York City in 2022, Outstanding Excellence for Original Score at the DWB International Film Festival in Delaware, and Best Music in a Feature Film at the Austin International Film Festival in 2023. A versatile visionary in music and cinema, as well as a classical opera, ballet, and theater wunderkind,
Georges Tomb often says, “Music for me is something sacred.”
Be sure to check out Georges’ musical talents in the following films: Inferno in Paris, Purple Gold, Sicilian Holiday, Clay, I Want to Be Neenja, including his album with the Kiev Philharmonic, which reached the bestsellers list at Virgin Megastores in the Middle East, paving the way for his 2024 album, If Only, recorded with the Budapest Symphony Orchestra. Award-winning director Sunny Zhao co-produced and directed the documentary and fantasy elements in the film.
Jennifer Murphy and Dennis Woodard…
Many in the film industry are referring to Georges Tomb as “the next John Williams”. The internationally acclaimed composer is currently scoring the “Bugatti Movie”, “Inferno In Paris”, Purple God, and the next blockbuster film of Mario Kassar, producer of “Terminator”, “Basic Instinct”, and “Rambo”. He is also the commissioned composer of Pinocchio, an Italian ballet by Balletto del Sud at Lecce Opera House with the participation of award-winning choreographer Freddy Franzutti and will launch at the Opera di Lecce then embark on an international tour including London, New
My sister Julianna often helps me write songs and make music videos. Her voice is amazing, and she can play almost any instrument.

I decided not to let the haters keep me down and I produced a music video for “I Want To Be Neenja” like I had initially planned when I first wrote the song.
I love using humor to help share messages, including the message that we are all unique and it’s important that we embrace the things that make us different and special, and celebrate our diversity together.
I felt so blessed on my birthday a few years ago that I decided to make a video with the message of GIVING on your birthday. I had so much fun making this video and song.
I co-wrote this song with Dennis Woodard, my producer and good friend who helped me create “I Want To Be Neenja.” We felt it was important to speak up about how the media often tries to divide us, but that in reality we have much more in common than we realize and should come together in unity regardless of our differences.

Skin Gym Tilka Cleansing Brush with LED Therapy (skingymco.com)
Move over, Foreo! There’s a NEW cleansing tool in town that’s got everyone talking. I’m tickled pink over this IG and TikTok -beloved beauty brand that features some of the most innovative, game-changing beauty tools, like LED red light therapy masks, facial rollers, cupping sets, firming & lifting devices, beauty solutions, a signature rose facial oil, and so much more. This U-shaped cleansing tool comes in bubblegum pink, charges via USB, travels effortlessly, features three sonic speeds, and has both blue light (to target acne) and red light (to target aging and hyperpigmentation) to treat complexion concerns while you cleanse. Dual-sided handheld gadget provides two different textures of silicone bristles for a gentler, more sanitary trip to the sink. Makes the perfect birthday gift for any beauty buff.
Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream (and The Cream) (augustinusbader.com)
The LaMer Soft Cream has been my go-to luxury night cream since 2013. Until now. Packed and powered with proprietary TFC8, this multitasking, sumptuous dream cream instantly melts into my winter-dry skin, leaving a long-lasting dewy glow all night long. While it can be worn both day and night, I prefer to slather richer creams before bed. The moisturizing power is so plush, pillowy, and pampering, I don’t even need to layer with a facial oil. It’s a single step to gorgeous, glowing skin in seconds. And, I love waking up to baby-soft skin. This science-backed stuff (30 years of research and innovation that supports cellular skin renewal with results you can see) won’t rub off through the night if you slumber on your skinsaving satin or silk pillowcase. This star-studded skincare line also offers The Cream, a lighter version for those with oiler skin or who prefer a featherlight feel.
Joanna Vargas Gold Exfoliating Mask
(joannavargas.com)
This five-minute mask means business! With a pore-perfecting kaolin clay and volcanic ash base, lactic acid to refine, and gold to lift and firm, this miracle mask developed by celebrity esthetician-to-the-stars of the same name, will bring the spa straight to your sanctuary. Brightens and tightens, pampers and perfects, leaving skin deeply “de-gunked,” supersoft, and even toned. Skincare meets selfcare with the ultimate in skin-dulgence. No appointment necessary.
Olaplex 4D Clean Volume Detox Dry Shampoo (olaplex.com)
Second-day hair, beware! Boost your blowout and embrace livedin locks with this micro-fine dry shampoo that leaves ZERO white cast. This is the first dry shampoo that virtually disappears into strands. Go from greasy to gorgeous in just a few sprays. My second-day hair actually looked like it was just washed! No trace of the white stuff, but all the good stuff – fresh smelling, volume, and texture! Plus, it’s finally available in travel size so you can flaunt tidy, tousled tresses wherever your travels may take you!
LaLicious Apres Ski Body Scrub & Body Oil Duo (lalicious.com)
While the seasonal Apres Ski collection, (which, sadly, is in its final season, as announced by the boutique body care brand to the horror and dismay of all their loyal customers this past fall), doesn’t offer the sugar-based body scrub and sweet almond and macadamia -based body oil as a duo, per se, I highly recommend you buy both and add to your shower shelf this winter. The scent is nothing like I’ve ever experienced before. This signature fragrance is an indulgent synergy of winter spices, citrus peel, and Teakwood, with a familiar cross between peppermint and warm vanilla with a hint of sensual musk. It’s addictingly intoxicating and will keep your skin supersmooth, baby-soft, and smelling scent-sational – head-to-toe! I’ve already stocked up on five bottles, so gets yours before this scent says goodbye for good!
Flower Beauty Supernova Celestial Skin Elixir (flowerbeauty.com)
When model-turned-beauty brand founder, Josie Maran, decided to retire her best-kept beauty secret, the Moon Drops Highlighting Facial Oil, a few years back, I went into full-on replacement panic as this was my favorite daytime facial oil to layer over my sunscreen during the day in the winter season. What made the elixir so special was its subtle shimmer that imparted a gorgeous glow without making my skin resemble an oil spill or disco ball for that matter. There was just a touch of gleam and glimmer to give my light-skinned visage a little boost of bling without going overboard. The next best thing? Flower Beauty Supernova Celestial Skin Elixir. This dupe is divine as it is also packed with skin and soul -soothing lavender oil.
Glowbiotics Hydra Glow Cream Oil in Pink (glowbiotics.com)
When big beauty retailers like Ulta and Sephora stopped carrying Glamglow in both their stores and online, my go-to daily moisturizer, Glamglow GlowStarter in Nude (which was a super-hydrating day cream packed with antioxidants and botanical oils and highlighted with subtle shimmer for a diaphanous 3-D effect), I once again found myself looking for the next best thing in beauty bling. While I invariably invite change, it can get quite inconvenient when you’ve got a skin system down pat, and the brand decides to throw a wrench in your well-built beauty arsenal. Nonetheless, I digress. The dupe that does it? Meet the Glowbiotics Hydra Glow Cream Oil daily “glow-to” that is the perfect combination of moisturizer and facial oil in one with a bling bonus to boot! No layer of love needed. Just slather and you’re all set, plus you get the added beauty benefit of probiotics for skin that is beautifully balanced and healthy, too! Also comes in Pearl and Bronze for highlighted or sunlit looks.
Obagi Professional-C Serum – 20% (obagi.com)
Vitamin C is a non-negotiable for me. It’s the first step of my morning skincare routine, following my Evian Glow Facial Spray step (the one in the baby-pink can with the continuous spray and baby powder scent that you’ll want to spray all day!). Obagi is a California-based, medical-grade skincare line founded and developed by celeb derm Zein E. Obagi. While the Obagi Professional-C serum is available in different vitamin C percentages to pack a punch against discoloration, oxidative stress, and aging, I use the highest percentage available since my skin has been accustomed to the potency of vitamin C for nearly a decade now. I love this serum because it’s medical and nothing more – no fillers, no fragrances, no fuss. It absorbs quickly, so I can add my Glowbiotics and SuperGoop Glow Screen SPF 30. Lightens, brightens, tones, and tightens.
Bonus, I pair with the Obagi 360 Retinol 1.0% formulated to repair and rejuvenate during my skin’s restorative night shift. When it comes to serums, such as the vitamin C, retinol, and peptide variety, it pays to splurge a bit and go for the medical grade picks. Serums are highly concentrated and are intended to treat your most pressing complexion concerns, so you want a pick that doesn’t mess around.
M-61 PowerGlow® Peel Extra Strength – 20% (m61labs.com)
I was given this as a sample from a Blue Mercury sales consultant years ago and I’ve been hooked since. Formulated with glow-getting glycolic acid, lactic acid, vitamin K, chamomile, lavender, and more, this weekly swipe-and-go peel keeps my fair complexion freckle-free, silky-smooth, and skintight. If you’re new to AHA’s (alpha hydroxy acids) to renew and refine your skin’s texture and tone, I suggest you start with the original formula in the white packet and work your way up to the 20% in the blue packet. Be prepared to feel tingling and tightening but resist the urge to rinse off. Pro tip: each pocket-sized peel can be cut into two wipes, giving you more bang for your beauty buck. So, glow get ‘em, GoGirls!
(dhccare.com)
So, full disclosure. I used to be scared senseless about using a cleansing oil to clean my face. It just sounded so counterintuitive. Until I got educated and became skin-dependent. See, waterbased cleansers cannot break down makeup, sunscreen, dirt, and debris as efficiently as oil can. Cleansing oils gently and effectively break down oil and makeup without stripping your skin of its own. No more taut, tight, and itchy feeling postcleanse. This olive oil-based cleansing oil made exclusively in Japan leaves my complexion comfortable, calm, supple, and soft – and nothing else. No residue, no film, no ick, no slick. There’s no need to double cleanse if you’re just washing away the day’s sunscreen. Just a few small pumps is all you need to wash all your skin sins down the drain. No more dirty secrets.
This edition, me and my team at GoGirl wanted to give our GoGirls and GoGuys a little something special to make this beauty edition even more beautiful and inspiring. We are proud to introduce two gorgeous GoGirls who are making waves in the billiondollar beauty industry — and beyond — with their expertise, creativity, groundbreaking innovation, and unadulterated boldness.

Resilience in the Face of Tragedy
True character is revealed in times of crisis, and Blake Mallen proved his unbreakable spirit when he fought side by side with firefighters to save his home from the devastating Los Angeles wildfires.
For Blake, this wasn’t just a house—it was the heart of his family’s life, a place filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
It was the home where he and his wife Karis built a life together, raising their two beautiful children. Every room told a story;
every corner held a piece of their journey. It was more than walls and a roof—it was the reward of years of hard work, sacrifice, and determination.
As a self-made entrepreneur, Blake had spent his entire life building something from nothing. He never took shortcuts, never had a safety net—just an unrelenting drive to create his own success. And through that hard-earned success, he was able to fully pay off his dream home, securing a future for his family.
As the firestorm raged toward his neighborhood, Blake made a choice that few would dare—he stayed behind to fight.
Determined not to let his family’s home go down without a battle, he spent all night with his neighbor, Alex, putting out hundreds of hot spots to protect the street, but the water went off completely around 3am. He knocked on fire engine windows asking for help, but the firemen said, “We have no water.”
“As the flames engulfed our neighborhood, the firefighters took a stand to help do everything they could to protect my house— outside, inside, even in the attic. I did my very best as well. Andrew Mott from Truck FR115 was the biggest advocate and led these brave efforts,” Blake stated. “But that afternoon, I watched my house burn to the ground. Had the water been working in the hydrant right in front of my house, I know for a fact that my house, my street, would have been saved. The firefighters on site told me the same thing.”
Although fully paid off, Blake’s home was completely uninsured. Just six months prior to the fires, State Farm had informed him he was no longer eligible for insurance—zero coverage. Blake soon learned that he was not alone; thousands of other homeowners had been dropped from their insurance policies due to what the companies deemed “high risk” fire zones—leaving them with zero financial assistance after losing everything.
“We did everything right,” Blake says. “We built our future, paid off our home, and believed we were secure. But in the moment we needed the system the most, we were left with nothing.”
Now, Blake is turning his personal loss into a powerful mission: to hold California’s leadership accountable for their failure in wildfire prevention, their mismanagement of resources, and the lack of insurance coverage that leaves families stranded in their worst moments. His numerous appearances in the news and media call for change and better prioritization of resources, to where they are most needed.
“The system is broken,” he says. “State leaders have prioritized bureaucracy over real solutions. Families are losing everything, and nobody is stepping up to fix it. This can’t be allowed to continue. Please share my story, as it represents thousands of families in the same situation; if I can be a voice to help drive needed support and change, I’ll do all I can.”
His SHIFT philosophy has never been more personal. This is not just about rebuilding a home and a community—it’s about rebuilding a system that has failed too many.
“We are not defined by what we lose,” Blake notes. “We are defined by how we rebuild.”
Although heartbroken and shocked by the incredible loss, Blake has chosen to rise from the ashes—literally and figuratively. Instead of letting hardship define him, he’s using it as fuel to continue inspiring others, proving that even in the face of loss, resilience and reinvention are possible. And he’s been moved and inspired by the outpouring of love from others, as well as the determined spirit he sees in those who also lost everything.
Here at GoGirl Worldwide, we are inspired by all of Blake’s business success and how he empowers entrepreneurs and people of all walks. He is a father, husband and community leader, and we are honored to share his story and look forward to seeing him continue to pave the way for greatness in his own life and the lives of others. You GoGuy!
Blake’s sister set up a GoFundMe for Blake and his family, and it’s wonderful to see the love and generosity being shared. Blake asks anyone who can help his family as well as any victims of the fires to do what they can, including sending prayers. GoFundMe link:
In total, the Los Angeles County fires, which began on January 7, 2025, destroyed over 16,000 structures, including homes and businesses, and claimed at least 29 lives. The fires also led to the evacuation of more than 200,000 residents. The financial impact is substantial, with insured losses estimated to reach up to $30 billion. Recovery efforts have been underway, but rebuilding is expected to take several years due to the extensive damage.
Eating “clean” changed my life. I had depression, anxiety, ADHD, immune problems, allergies, you name it. From what I remember, my entire life I also constantly felt sick. If there was any illness going around, I was certainly going to catch it.
In many ways, I was in a vicious cycle with no answers from doctors. Little did I or my parents know that making some lifestyle adjustments would have made an entire world’s worth of difference.
So, what do I mean by “clean”? Dodging and weaving the Standard American Diet, otherwise known as the Western Diet.
I cut out the junk—the preservatives, dyes, artificial and refined sugars. I started a whole food diet coupled with high endurance exercise. Amazingly, it didn’t take much time for most of my symptoms and problems to melt away.
I wasn’t alone in this journey, however. So many Americans started asking the same questions as me: Why do we constantly feel sick? Why isn’t eating “healthy” enough?
There’s a well-founded skepticism for our current nutritional climate. A whole movement has swept over the country: a movement to develop healthy lives for us and future generations. People are starting to cook at home more, grow their food if they can, promoting others to get exercise and eat whole food diets.
This is the kind of change that serves everyone, because no one should have to feel like they’re destined for disease or that they’ll never feel good. This isn’t to say there won’t be some bumps in the road, but hopefully my story and the information found here at GoGirl Worldwide will provide some ideas of how to do right by your body for a lifetime of self-empowerment and wellness.
I’m so excited to say someone on the government level is also bringing awareness
to America’s health crisis, too. RFK Jr. is at the forefront of this new wave, highlighting the importance of a health-conscious culture. For too long, this country has allowed the use of harmful additives in our food that contribute to the rise of chronic illness and disease.
For comparison, the European Union maintains a very strict nutritional standard for their citizens. You’ll find companies like Kellogg that make two different versions of Froot Loops: one for us and one for everyone else. One that contains chemical dyes and one without.
Other countries prioritize their people’s health, so why shouldn’t we? It’s standard to expect a lifespan of around 80 years, but not without expecting heart disease, diabetes, Alzheimer’s, or cancer. Citizens should look forward to living a long and healthy life and luckily there’s a man in our corner willing to make that a reality.
might be right in front of you, maybe even a couple blocks away from your home.
Every mother wants the best for her child, and it goes without saying every loving mother tries her best. Fast-food sometimes feels like a good option when you’re tired or the kids are starving. You know it’s not the best, but how bad could it be?
There’s a whole team of people just like you, who want the best for the future — AKA our nation’s children. In 2023, Moms Across America, a non-profit organization, tested 20 different fast-food restaurants for the presence of heavy metals. Unfortunately, not even one tested negative.
Although I still implore you to read the findings in its entirety, here’s a summary:
Wake Up Mama! MomsAcrossAmerica.com
Another question everyone seems to be asking right now is, “Why is the rate of autism in our children so high?”. The answer
• 100% of the fast-food samples tested contained alarming levels of cadmium. The levels of cadmium were between 74%-1158% higher than what the EPA allows in drinking water.
• Cadmium is highly carcinogenic and can cause toxic reactions even at low levels.
• In-and-Out french fries had 1,158% higher levels of cadmium than what the EPA allows in drinking water.
• Jack-in-the-Box french fries had 970% higher levels of cadmium than what the EPA allows in drinking water.
• 100% of the 42 fast food samples tested had trace amounts or higher of lead.
• Even low levels of lead in blood have been shown to negatively affect a child’s intelligence, ability to pay attention, and academic achievement.
• A Sonic Drive-in cheeseburger had the highest amount of lead, 912% higher than what the EPA allows in drinking water.
• Arsenic was also detected in 17% of the fast-food samples.
• The highest level of arsenic was found in Panda Express’s orange chicken and white rice at 362% higher than EPA levels allowed in drinking water.
In addition, I personally did a research paper in college (I used this study in it) on heavy metals, looking for their effect on pregnant women and children. Cadmium, aluminum, and lead are three heavy metals most found
in the blood, hair, and nails of children diagnosed with autism. This is a scary correlation given how much of them was found in the food citizens consume regularly. Moral of the story, it may be to your family’s benefit to consider this study next time lunch or dinner rolls around.
Have you ever looked at a someone and wondered, how on earth did they lose weight so fast? Did they get a new trainer at the gym? Are they on a calorie deficit? These days, chances are, it’s Ozempic! Everyone wants to get their hands on it. In fact, I’ve seen ad after ad on social media for ways to get it cheap and easy without having to see a doctor. It seems like it’s just as accessible as birth control.
In 2017, the drug was FDA approved to improve the blood glucose levels of those with Type 2 diabetes. If you’re wondering why it’s so popular for weight loss now, the FDA approved larger doses for weight loss in 2021.
It works by basically tricking your body into thinking it’s full, suppressing your appetite. But, what else does it do? The fact is, we don’t entirely know.
Let’s be real, the use of any drug always includes a risk for adverse health effects. If you’re not willing to take that risk, let’s talk about what else you can do.
First, I want to reevaluate everyone’s mindset. Every day, social media or television shows us things we want and feel like we can’t have. Instead of looking at being thinner as this gargantuan task, start by showing yourself the love you deserve. Transition your thoughts to self-improvement and celebrate your victories.
Your health is your longevity, and without building long-term habits, there’s no long-term success. I don’t want you to just look good, I want you to feel good too.
2. Get rid of the toxins [maybe we could provide some kind of guide? Maybe too much]
It takes as much as switching to a ketchup without high fructose corn syrup, finding a different coffee creamer, or using maple syrup instead of Splenda. Start reading labels, educate yourself on what to look for, and make those adjustments for you and your family.
3. Put down the soda and sweet tea!
High sugar beverages mean empty calories, or no nutritional value. No nutritional value=more appetite=eating too many calories than you need.
We’re all told we don’t drink enough water, and that’s the truth! Keep a glass or bottle of water next to your bed, take a small pinch of Himalayan Sea salt or Celtic Sea salt, and have a tall glass of water before your morning coffee.
The minerals in these salts are your electrolytes, and if you have water retention, this will help you hydrate yourself first thing in the day.
Both men and women consume FAR too much sugar, and even if you choose a sugar-free option, you’re looking at consuming Aspartame. I promise once you eliminate it, you won’t crave it anymore and your tastebuds will adjust!
Tip: I always recommend sticking with water, but if you really want a sweet drink, try a HalfDay prebiotic tea, Poppi, or Olipop.
The more fiber you consume, the easier it is to clean out that nasty stuff in your gut. Get your veggies where you can and consider adding beans or lentils somewhere into your daily diet.
Of course, you can go to the gym and train as hard as you can; GO FOR IT! If you feel that’s a hard place to begin, prove to yourself you can achieve it first. Start by getting in as many steps as you can, maybe even try a hike.
Two things you might not recognize go together. Similarly to caffeine, alcohol drains you of your hydration and magnesium. You need magnesium and hydration for pretty much everything, including sleep.
Alcohol and sleep deficiency also alter your metabolism and hormones, leading to the retention of fat and increased appetite.
Choose an app, LoseIt! or Cronometer to name a few, that allow you to track your meals, water intake, and exercise. They show the macros (proteins, fat, & carbs) in your food and help you set goals for caloric deficits and maintaining weight.
Tip: The higher the protein, the fuller you’ll feel! High protein and low-calorie meals are key to feeling satiated for longer in calorie deficits as to prevent snacking in between mealtimes.
Believe me when I say you’re beyond capable of doing more and this is only the beginning. Keep in mind that like everything, it still takes time, dedication, and consistency. (And as always, keep your doctor in the loop with any drastic changes you make.)
Nikki is a student studying for her Nutrition Consultant Certification in Newport Beach, California. In addition to her passion for health and holistic wellness she enjoys reading, hiking and photography.
With this amazing whole food diet movement, comes a lot of delicious options. People are starting to cook at home more, and they’re encouraging everyone to do the same— for good reason! But if you don’t have a lot of time on your hands, that’s okay too.
Alyssa Steinburg (@healthyu_dietitian on Instagram), a registered dietitian, has a wide variety of insanely yummy easy recipes to try for a busy lifestyle. Here’s her high protein and low-carb 2-ingredient bagel recipe:
1 cup plain Greek yogurt
2 cups almond flour
(Optional ingredients: egg wash both sides, bagel seasoning)
Instructions:
Roll into balls, poke holes through the middle, and bake at 350°F for 25-30min. Enjoy!
( And let her know how you like it!)
A big part of this food journey is also exploring refined-sugar free sweet treats, meaning using complex sugars like maple syrup or honey. This recipe by Angie Caruso (instagram.com/ healthfulradiance) really caught my eye, because it’s also flourless and you’ll never guess what she uses instead!
1 can (15.5oz) chickpeas, rinsed & drained
3 eggs
½ cup maple syrup
½ cup salted peanut butter
A pinch of baking powder and sea salt
Chocolate chips/chopped chocolate for mixing in
(Optional: vanilla protein powder with an additional 1-2tbsp of milk for extra protein)
Instructions:
Preheat the often to 350°F while combing ingredients (except for the chocolate chips) into a blender. Once blended, stir the chocolate chips or chopped chocolate into the blended batter whilst remaining in the blender for easy pouring. Line or grease your muffin tray, pour the batter evenly, top off with more chocolate chips, and bake for 10-12 minutes or until nothing sticks to a toothpick!

Just like you “pencil in” work appointments with colleagues and pizza dates with friends and family, so should you make it your business to battle the bulge. Besides aiming for those elusive 10K steps daily, there are countless other (and way more fun) ways to crush your fitness goals. Here are just a few to try: cardio (running, walking, cycling, swimming), weights/strength training, stretching/yoga, Pilates, CrossFit (high intensity interval training), playing sports, hiking, gardening, indoor mountain climbing, boxing, and so much more. For fitness on the fly, try planks in the park, burpees in your living room and lunchtime lunges. Jen suggests switching things up a bit to prevent fitness plateaus as well as boredom. Mix up your go-to fitness faves and put some serious muscle into them. Not only does a heart-pumping sweat session 3-4 times a week lower your resting heart rate, but it optimizes your lungs’ oxygen power, properly dispersing it out to the rest of your body’s vital organs. Regular exercise will boost immunity, help you sleep more soundly, and make your skin glow — naturally.
Stepping into an infrared sauna is the body-benefiting and growing self-care trend you’ll love indulging in every week. Infrared technology stimulates white blood cell production and skin supporting collagen synthesis, while purging the body’s pores of harmful toxins, metals, and impurities. The relaxation-inducing effects improves mood, sleep, hygiene, alleviates anxiety, nix nerves and brings a welcoming sense of serenity and inner peace. Infrared technology heats your body from the inside-out and is capable of deeply penetrating the soft tissues, pushing trapped toxins out of the body through perspiration. Consider a weekly visit to the infrared sauna as both a cleansing — and relaxing — ritual.
This may seem like a joke, but it’s certainly real! When you laugh, your body naturally releases a burst of feel-good endorphins — the same kind you get after a two-mile run along sundrenched shores sans all the sweaty, extraneous effort! Endorphins are also your body’s natural painkillers, so the next time you sense a painful bout of PMS coming your way, just bust a gut — literally. Endorphins also reduce the cancercausing stress hormone, cortisol, which can also help whittle your middle. Also, did you know an exhilarating LOL sesh with your friends expands your lungs, stretches your muscles, stimulates homeostasis (the state of equilibrium or “balancing” of the body’s interdependent physiological processes), and tones the tummy? Ever wonder why your belly is so sore the day after a gut-busting laugh? A good laugh or sharing a simple smile also proves to be an effective way to release pent-up emotions. And, when we strive to make others laugh, smile, and generally feel good, we, ourselves, become happier — naturally.

Life is a series of seasons, each bringing its own challenges and triumphs. For me, these seasons have included the complexities of marriage, the transformative world of pageantry, and a steadfast commitment to advocacy for women’s empowerment. Each chapter has shaped me into the woman I am today, teaching me resilience, grace, and the power of using my voice to inspire others.
There was a time during my marriage when I found myself unemployed, facing a moment that tested both my confidence and resolve. One day, I asked my husband for some money to cover necessities. His response cut deep—he told me I needed to get a job.
Without hesitation, I responded, “I can get a job tomorrow.” He scoffed, saying, “No one can get a job in one day.” With quiet determination, I replied, “Watch me.”
Marriage is often portrayed as a fairytale, but the reality is far more nuanced. My past marriage was a profound experience, filled with the lack of moments of joy, personal growth, and, pain. It taught me the importance of self-worth, communication, and the courage to let go when something no longer serves your spirit.
Walking away from a relationship is never easy, but it was in the act of choosing myself that I rediscovered my strength. During this season of transition, I realized the depth of my calling to empower other women who might be navigating their own storms. My story is a testament to the fact that endings are not failures—they are opportunities for new beginnings.
The next morning, I got up, dressed to impress, and prepared to head out. While my initial plan was simply to go shopping and enjoy the day, I was determined to prove a point. I arrived at the mall ready to browse the stores, but as fate would have it, I got there too early—the mall hadn’t even opened yet. With time on my hands and a resolute spirit, I decided to take a walk through Old Sacramento to clear my mind and reflect.
Everything happens for a reason... as I was walking and turned the corner, there was Adecco Temp Agency. I decided to buy some time and look into what they had to offer. Let me remind you, I had no intention of really getting a job. They required a writing sample, a typing test, and a math test. I finished
about an hour and 30 minutes later and headed to do my shopping!
As I returned home later that afternoon, the phone was ringing as I walked through the door. On the other end was an agency representative, asking if I would be interested in accepting a three-day temporary assignment. She said I was professional; my communication and my technical skills were great. Without hesitation, I said yes, excited for the opportunity to prove myself. When my husband came home that evening, I proudly announced, “I got a job, and I start tomorrow!” His stunned reaction— equal parts disbelief and amazement—was priceless. What I didn’t tell him at the time was that it was only a short-term gig. That “three-day” assignment turned into a career that lasted 16 years.
This experience taught me that the combination of faith, confidence, and a willingness to seize opportunities can transform even the smallest chance into something life-changing. Sometimes, the path to success starts with taking that first step, even when others doubt you. It’s not just about proving others wrong but proving to yourself what you’re capable of when you’re determined to rise above challenges.
To anyone facing doubt—whether from others or within themselves—remember that opportunities can arise when you least expect them. Stay ready, stay confident,
and always believe in the power of your own resolve. You never know when a single moment can change the course of your life for the better.
Pageantry has been one of the most transformative chapters of my life. Being crowned Ms Queen Royale 2023-24 was not just an honor but also a platform to amplify my advocacy work. Pageantry is often misunderstood as merely a showcase of beauty, but for me, it has been a platform to embody grace, confidence, and leadership.
Through the pageant world, I have met incredible women who share a common purpose: to inspire and uplift. Each sash and crown represents hours of dedication, personal development, and the courage to stand in front of the world as your most authentic self. More than a title, it is a responsibility—a call to action to use my influence to advocate for causes close to my heart.
Among the many gifts I have been blessed with, singing has always held a special place in my heart. I understand that this gift was given to me by God, and yet, for many years, I let it remain dormant. The absence of song in my life created a void, but the journey to reclaim my voice has been nothing short of miraculous.
Through perseverance and faith, I have worked tirelessly to get my voice back, and with it, a renewed sense of purpose and gratitude. Singing is not just an expression of my talent; it is a way to connect with others, a fragrance to uplift and to honor the One who gave me this gift. My voice is now a testament to resilience and a reminder that it is never too late to rediscover and embrace what makes you whole.
My experiences in marriage and pageantry have both informed and strengthened my commitment to women’s empowerment. As an advocate, I have dedicated my voice and platform to inspiring women to embrace their power, rewrite their narratives, and chase their dreams fearlessly.
Through initiatives like the Women of Wisdom (W.O.W.) Conference and my role as an ambassador for Declare Victory Ministries, I have had the privilege of mentoring women from all walks of life. Whether on the runway, at a podium, or in personal conversations, I strive to create spaces where women feel seen, heard, and supported.
What I have learned through my journey is that personal struggles often birth public purpose. My past marriage, while difficult, gave me the empathy to connect with other
women facing similar challenges. Pageantry gave me the courage to speak boldly and the platform to be heard. Together, these experiences have fueled my passion for advocacy and service.
Every step of my journey has been a testament to the beauty of resilience and the transformative power of self-belief. By sharing my story, I hope to inspire others to embrace their journeys—to see challenges not as barriers but as stepping stones to greatness. We all have a crown to wear, whether visible or not, and it is in wearing it with purpose that we truly shine.
