“Creating an image is all about the story to me, before I just took the photo, and now I pour my heart and soul into it. There isn’t one specific thing that makes me “happy” while creating an image, it’s the whole process, from point a to z. There is so many things that go into my images that to pin point which one makes me the happiest would be cutting myself short. The process of planning out the image and creating the concept can either be extremely difficult or extremely easy. Either way, it all makes me happy, and to see it from the moment I think about it to the moment it’s right there in front of my face as a finished piece is all a reward. I wouldn’t trade what I am doing for anything, and it’s making me happy, I’m following my dreams and creating art that one day I hope can touch someone as it has with my life.”

“Photography is my passion. I absolutely love taking images. I have my camera on me everywhere I go. This has been so good for me because there is such a satisfying feeling when I see something beautiful or interesting and can simply hold up my camera and snap a good quality photograph. I never really use to take my camera around and I always found myself saying, “Oh I wish I had my camera”. Besides this I love setting up my shoots and creating stories. Making dreams into reality. You start out with a simple idea then you make a decision that you are going to make this happen. You put a lot of time and effort and now all of a sudden you have this finished product. I find that things don’t always go 100% as planned but there is a feeling of magic when you create personal artwork.”

“When I create of images, in my head of swarming is a lot of thought. I think about the reaction of people, who see them later. Will they like it? They notice emotions, which I want convey, which are in me? When I show photos of people, with which I work and I can see a smile on their faces, I feel a great excitement. I cannot wait, when I come back to home and I start work on photos. Although the work on the photos is sometimes tedious and time consuming, when I see the reaction of people, I feel joy. It fills me and motivates you to continue working. In my head appear other images, plans, inspirations. And that is what makes me feel happy, when I take pictures. Excitement, anticipation, joy, possibility to create something beautiful.

“The thing that makes me happy about creating images is the opportunity to express myself via photography as a medium and deliver the feelings, emotions and attitudes of the models/ people to the viewers. I find the face of humans the most expressive tool and in my shoots I am trying to make the models feel as comfortable as possible and therefore reveal the ‘real face’, which hides the emotions in their eyes and facial expressions. If I can accomplish it, the feeling is so fulfilling and invaluable that it makes me happy. I could not image myself being happy without photography in my life. It is like the psychotherapist to me; I put my moment’s emotions into it and pass it on to the others, hoping there is someone out there who can relate. “

“I think the best thing for me when creating an image is the overall simplicity of the way I work. I use a spare room in my flat with the window as the only light source. It makes me happy to know that I can produce photographs that I am proud of with such little equipment. I have a lot of students that come to me asking what equipment I use, and when they find out it is not much, it gives them a little hope too that they can achieve something without having anything fancy!

Crystalized www.lyka-crystalized.de “Creating a photograph first of all starts in my mind - I start to sketch a little setting in my head. After this vision becomes clear enough I grab my camera and put this into action. But every time it’s becoming a little challenge for me - I have to find the right subject, an awesome location and the perfect lightening to catch that little scenery I have in mind. Finally, when everything fits and I can see, that my vision of the photograph I wanted to create becomes reality, I get inspired and truly feel creativity rushing through my veins. But after 4 years of photography, the most beautiful moment is when I’m happy with the result and especially that I’m not the only one.”

“I love that i can show everybody and everything like I see their. I’m happy when my photos telling the stories without words, speaking without sound. Everything can happen in this world. Photography lets me show myself and what i have inside. It’s a truly beautiful art. I realize that I can get completely lost in it.. I love that.”

sarabugoloni.tumblr.com/ “I am never satisfied about the images I create because I don’t think the process of creating an image is a closed, blind one. For me, the process of creating images has a quite certain beginning but never a defined ending: I want my pictures to be glances of stories that arouse feeling in the person who sees them. I can say I am satisfied when someone tells me he could even feel (or better imagine to feel) the smell, or the cold of the atmosphere of one of my pictures.

“What makes me happy when creating an image is the freedom to express what I think or a feeling or an emotion. Just as others do painting or through the music I do through photography. Its a way of exploring my own imaginary and a challenge for myself cause with photography i always keep learning and i never get tired of seeing.
