WELCOME to the 2015 Annual Report of the Golden Belt Community Foundation.

We hope you will enjoy the stories inside this report. They provide a glimpse of people in this area who understand the importance of philanthropy. We are beginning our 20th year of existence as a foundation. As I write this, the assets of the Foundation are near the $20 million mark, well above our goal. That speaks so well of the founders who had the foresight and courage to form this entity. It also speaks volumes of the many donors who have placed their faith and trust in the foundation, believing their philanthropic gifts will continue to make a difference in the future of the lives of people in our communities. Those individuals put into practice the saying “life is measured best when you plant a tree under whose shade you do not expect to sit. The board and the Foundation continue to look for ways we can have lasting impact on the communities we serve. We invite input from everyone. Please share your ideas that will help us devote resources to the causes that matter.

Steve Miller

Immediate Past President Golden Belt Community Foundation
