Yoga Teacher Training Tools – Resources. One of the most important resources in this booklet is the Reading List (please note that the first five books are mandatory). These books are your yoga foundation. Please have them to hand them every day of your Live or On Demand Course. A comprehensive list is included here so everyone can benefit from this insight but it is optional

We also include a 200hr Foundation Self Study list for you in case you didn't get that particular insight on your own Foundation program. It’s good to make a head start on reading if possible ahead of beginning a course but we don't want our student teachers to sweat over this. We will cover insights from the reference books together in your Live and On Demand Training. As there are so many online resources, don't worry too much if you are not a massive book worm. We will find a balance. However, there will be a necessity to cover the basics in written form. There is an oral requirement in teaching practice but we do not require Sanskrit examination.

We include a basic outline of the Curriculum / Syllabus of Training Modules here for your convenience for Foundation Study at 200hr. Diploma and Seniors programs are tailored as necessary in light of your knowledge.

An extended version is expanded upon at Diploma level, then progressed over a 4year period, since your Foundation period began, leading to YAP Experienced / Senior qualification of 500hr YAI Yoga Alliance International.

It is necessary to hold this level for 8 years before becoming a Lead Trainer yourself in a YAP Registered Teacher Training course.
