The Indian Ocean is home to a variety of stunning destinations, each of which enjoys some of the world’s finest weather. In Mauritius weather is varied, with cloudy skies giving way to bright sunshine in a matter of minutes. In the Maldives the hottest month is April and the coldest is December, while in the Seychelles the temperature rarely falls below 23°C. Sri Lanka enjoys good weather on the west and south coast between December and March. Africa’s weather is diverse, and when to go really depends on what you want to do and see there. Safaris are generally regarded to be better in winter months while city and beach breaks are most popular in the summer. The Winelands is best visited during wine harvest season – February to April, or visit Hermanus for some southern right whale viewing between the months of June and November.
