Sustainability For a Better World
PROJECT OBJECTIVE:
To replace 1,211 light fixtures from outdated T12 magnetic ballasts to T8 elctronic ballasts and energy saving fluorescent lights.

PROCESS:
Working in a two man team, my father and I covered different areas in a three building complex. We extracted the old fluorescent bulbs, ballasts, and copper wires. Afterwards we installed the energy saving ballasts, connected all the proper wiring, and replaced light bulbs.
OUTCOME:
This project resulted in the reduction of energy consumption by 35% annually. All of the waste material was recycled by the sponsor and owner of the building.
