GONZAGA COLLEGE HIGH SCHOOL
April 27, 2024
The Joe Kozik Gonzaga Athletic Hall of Fame pays tribute to Gonzaga’s rich athletic legacy by recognizing outstanding contributions made by athletes, coaches, administrators, and teams.
The Hall of Fame also highlights the central role athletic competition plays in the lives of our students and our school community—sportsmanship, teamwork, grit, and discipline are just some of the things that the young men of Eye Street learn and experience through sports.
Every year, the Gonzaga Hall of Fame Selection Committee takes nominations from the school community and selects a new class of inductees, who are honored at a ceremony and reception on campus. Our goal is to celebrate those who have contributed significantly to the program’s growth and spirit, and who continue to reflect Ignatian values such as integrity, perseverance and humility.

Congratulations Coach Fegan! It’s no surprise that you and your team won the Catholic League and the City Championship in the fall, 1949, of your senior year at Gonzaga. You must have been a stud offensive guard. None of us would have wanted to go against you.

Athletes, teams, coaches, administrators, and others are eligible for induction into the Athletic Hall of Fame. Athletes must have attended Gonzaga, but other categories are open to non-alumni. Primary criteria include athletic ability, sportsmanship, Ignatian character, leadership/effort on and off the field, and contributions to the team(s), games or sport(s) he participated in, coached or supported. The goal of the committee is to have the Hall of Fame members exemplify the very best in sports and the very best of Gonzaga. They are testimony to the positive character attributes that sports instill in young people and all Gonzaga students.
You can nominate someone for the Gonzaga Hall of Fame at: www.gonzaga.org/AHoF-Nomination
