JURY AND CRITERIA

On behalf of everyone at Good Design Australia, it is my absolute pleasure and privilege to present the 2021 Good Design Awards. The 2021 winners not only demonstrate a steadfast commitment to designing a better and brighter future, but are testament to the resilience of the design industry as well as many other sectors during these difficult and testing times.

The last few years have not been easy, but as designers we are drawn to the difficult, we want to untangle the complex and we thrive under pressure. We have continued to innovate, with intention and purpose. Each year the projects, products and services we celebrate in these awards are increasingly focused on designing for positive social and environmental impact, as well as commercial success.

They are created by diverse, multi-disciplinary teams, who employ considerate collaboration and thoughtful attention to detail to produce outstanding outcomes. It is truly inspiring to see designers, brands and businesses working together to design new solutions to global challenges and I am extremely proud to be part of this incredible community of people, who are dedicated to making a difference.

To all who have contributed to these projects in Australia and around the world, a huge congratulations and a heartfelt thank you for all that you do to help create a better, brighter world through Good Design.
