After graduating from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, with bachelor of arts degree in music, Gingrich moved to Washington, D.C. and became involved in Republican politics. She began her career in the office of Congressman Steve Gunderson (R-W) and she rose to become Chief Clerk of the House Committee on Agriculture. During her tenure on Capitol Hill, Gingrich gained a wide range of knowledge of government affairs, strategic planning, legislative research, and constituent services. Today, Gingrich is the president of Gingrich Productions, a multimedia production company based in Washington, D.C. She and her husband, former speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Newt Gingrich, host and produce historical and public policy documentaries. Recent films include The First American, Divine Mercy: The Canonization of John Paul II, A City Upon a Hill, America at Risk, Nine Days That Changed the World, Ronald Reagan: Rendezvous with Destiny, Rediscovering God in America, Rediscovering God in America II: Our Heritage, and We Have the Power. Gingrich is also an author. She has written a New York Times best-selling children’s series about a character named Ellis the Elephant. Her children’s books include Sweet Land of Liberty, Land of the Pilgrims’ Pride, Yankee Doodle Dandy, From Sea to Shining Sea, and Christmas in America. Gingrich is also the co-author of the third edition of the New York Times best-seller, Rediscovering God in America, as well as Ronald Reagan: Rendezvous with Destiny, a photographic collection inspired by Newt and Callista’s award-winning documentary film.
