Mary Fallin is the current Governor of Oklahoma. The first woman elected to the job, Fallin earned the position through years of service to the people and the state of Oklahoma. Fallin started her career in politics serving two terms as a state representative. She then went on to serve as Lieutenant Governor, Congresswoman from the 5th District, and finally as Governor. Her tenure is also marked by the work she did when serving as the chairman of the National Governors Association, where she led a nationwide initiative to help better align education with the needs of a modern day workforce. Education has been at the forefront of Fallin’s policy initiatives while in office. Under her leadership, Oklahoma has increased funding for K-12 education by over $154 million. She has also worked to modernize government operations, cut income tax, and address the state’s fiscally unstable pension system.

Fallin and her husband Wade Christensen have six children between them. They currently live in the Oklahoma Governor’s mansion in Oklahoma City. Link to official bio
