U.S. Rep. Michael T. McCaul is currently serving in his sixth term representing Texas’ 10 th District in the United States House of Representatives. During his tenure, McCaul has developed a strong track record of fighting for lower taxes and less government spending. He has also focused much of his work on issues of homeland security, and since 2013, has served as chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security. Before running for elected office, McCaul was the Chief of Counter Terrorism and National Security in the U.S. Attorney’s office in the western district of Texas. He led the Joint Terrorism Task Force, which was charged with detecting, deterring and preventing terrorist activity. McCaul also served as Texas Deputy Attorney General under current U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX), and as a federal prosecutor in the Department of Justice’s Public Integrity Section in Washington, D.C.
