Flat Streets and Red Roofs I walked along the streets in the boiling sun with no water, sweat dripping from my forehead. My head ringing from the heat as I slowly stumbled along. At least I don’t have to carry an umbrella. Houses are on my left and right with their red, orange and pink tiled roofs and their brick built walls with different colours of paint. I wish there would be a Beijing burst of water. Next time I will definitely take the car.

Snow in a meadow My feet are freezing as I walk across the snowy meadow. I hear the crunching of the ice beneath my feet. But I love the feeling of being wrapped up warm in hat, scarf and gloves. It’s like walking in a winter wonderland. Some of the snow has melted but some has been hiding in the shadows of the trees. It’ still there but it won’t be for long. I can’t wait to get home to eat my Belgian chocolate.

I am still climbing. Suddenly the ground starts to rumble. Steam from the top turns to boiling hot lava. The question is will I survive? As I ran the lava was chasing me. It was hard climbing the beautiful and rocky Azat reservoir but worth it when I saw the outskirts of the amazing Armenian land. I am definitely going back there again.

Biggest bridge As I stride along the biggest bridge going up and down in the world that stretches from Qinhuangdao all the way to jiayaguan. I can’t believe that I am one of the 4 million people the cross it in a year. As I look towards the end and then I follow it back it looks longer every time, and then I thought how long would it take to build and how many stones it would use up as well.

Trudging wearily along the dusty road heaving similarly coloured stone bricks. It was painful work dragging a load as heavy as a rhino over your shoulder. I would have preferred a short welcoming rest although the bearers of the menacing whips didn’t agree with me. The four enormous statues of Ramesses II towered above all the defenceless slaves labouring for the Pharaoh. I foresaw the disaster that would soon happen. I’m going to climb down the bridge now hoping that it’s safe.

Volcano of death It is as old as the pyramids. As grand as a Russian King. It looks like it is smoking a cigar. At the moment it is sleeping but if it is woken up it gets so so so so angry it erupts, and spits out lava. It turns a good day in to a disaster. On a good day it can blow its smoke to Alaska.

Around The World In 80 Words By Maddy Wheeler, Year 6A. I’ve never felt so tired. The sky is pinkish-red as the boiling French sun begins to set. I’m drawing closer to the centre but feeling faint, clutching the surrounding sunflowers for support. Four hectares of searching and dead ends is killing me. I have no strength left, only determination. The cool breeze encouragingly whips my hair, so I pull myself up and take a few steps forward. Turning the final corner, I realise I’ve completed the largest plant maze.

My beautiful and peaceful island. I was sailing for ages however I couldn’t find the isolated island. After I cruised a little longer I finally found my destination. It was near the hometown of Santa Claus! The island was a dream come true. It had a lush forest and was in the middle of a beautiful sea. The log cabin was delightful with beautiful white rocks surrounding the island. I decided to call it my kingdom and home. It was my most wanted “vision”, peace. I was at the top, “Phew! The view in Afghanistan was terrific.
