Project X feedback

What did you learn through

PROJECT X?

Feedback from Project X We found that the hardest things about Project X were:  Working to a time limit  Filming everyone and getting them in shot  Getting the timeline completed as we had to do it before we started filming  To get the children and the teachers to do the actions that we wanted them to do and to mouth the words  Thinking ahead  Trying to stay away from Mrs Seaborne during filming

What we would do better next time:  Be more focused  Have more time  Next time we would still keep it a secret We found it hard at first because we had no experience in making a film. We had to use a lot of habits of mind like persevering even though we found some of the project tough also we had to be committed to the project to make it successful. A very hard challenge over a time limit was the storyboards because it was difficult to complete as we only had a short amount of time, and at one point we were running around like headless chickens, because we were running out of time to get everything done. Our opinion on the storyboards was that they really helped us in our challenge. Knowing how to plan and make storyboards will definitely help us with our Leavers’ DVD, we will have all the actions planned unlike we did in parts of Project X. We loved the fact that we got to see the film at the end. The final outcome was brilliant. We are all proud of what it looks like. Project X has been a really fun challenge and after being selected to be in this club made us feel honoured. Ellie (6A), Tash and Bryony (6B)

Project X Feedback I think that Project X has made me feel more confident and has helped me to realise that I can work in a group well and produce something great. Sydney We found the storyboard difficult to complete as we only had a short amount of time, and at one point we were running around like headless chickens, because we were running out of time to get everything done. Sydney and Caroline When we were filming we could have made it clearer to the teachers and children, about what their actions and their lines were. Sydney and Caroline We could have improved our timings, because at one point Mr.Weatherby was telling us that we might not get finished, and that comment made us work harder, because we wanted to get this done so much. Sydney and Caroline I found the filming fun and being selected to be in this club made me feel honoured. Caroline When Mr.Weatherby asked to talk to me at golden time and told me he wanted me to be in Project X I felt amazing that I had been picked to do this task, and I found it a real challenge, but I loved doing it. Thanks Mr.Weatherby. Sydney Another good thing was getting biscuits when we were filming, because we worked so hard. Caroline We all found keeping it a secret hard, but it paid off. I loved the fact that we got to see the film at the end. Sydney and Caroline, 6B.

Project X What did you learn from Project X? That you have to be organised so that you do not lose story boards because you would not know what to do and you might miss something out. You had to work with whoever you chose to work. Consequently you worked with different people you would not normally work with. You get experience from this project therefore you will know the best way to do things in upcoming projects. What could you do better? I could have made it clearer when I was telling the children and teachers their action. Therefore they did not know what do. What did you enjoy about project X? That it was a secret and that you had to keep quiet about it especially when they keep asking loads of questions about it. Kian, 6B

Project X Feedback I found the time to actually do it, film and organise everybody. I think that it will help us realise that we can do it we just need to believe and stop stressing. I found the storyboards difficult because there was so little time and lots of things to do. After the story boards we found that some people couldn’t do the time we wanted them to do. Also we found that we really did need the story boards because if we didn’t we would be running around like headless chickens (Not like we didn’t) What I think we could do better: 

Make it clearer to teachers and pupils when we want to see them.

Be more organised.

Think what’s possible and what not (What is achievable?).

Believe in ourselves.

Be more focused

What I think we did the best: 

We got biscuits

Watching the film at the end

Filming and using the equipment

Having a secret (Although it was hard )

Nearly having Mrs Aldous cry

Just us knowing about it

Making it for Mrs Seaborne

In primary school we think about HoM lots, but in high school they think about the 7Cs (displayed on boards around the Y6 area). We had to use Creativity, Communication, Considering and Commitment, and we also had to be very Confident. What we are doing with Project X will help us next year when we go into Year 7. A very hard

challenge over a time limit was the storyboards because it was difficult to it complete as we only had a short amount of time, and at one point we were running around like headless chickens, because we were running out of time to get everything done.
