Join us for a Mario Kart tournament on the Wii U, make and decorate using paper Washi tape or create stories with author Jess Black at our creative writing workshops.

Little Free Library
Never be without something to read
Help yourself to a book from one of Gosford City Library Service’s new Little Free Libraries. Little Free Libraries are found around the world, in parks, playgrounds, at bus stops, in suburban streets and now in Gosford City. Open the front door to the Kibble Park Little Free library and help yourself to a book. Also located in Gosford Hospital Emergency Department the Little Free Library consists of children’s picture books, novels and magazines to help you pass the time.

Calling all people with a passion for reading and helping others to read.
Donate your used LEGO (mixed up or in sets), and we will make sure they are reused.
Gosford libraries are looking for volunteers to be one-to-one Reading Buddies with local primary school children in our libraries. Full training and support will be provided.
Gosford City Library is seeking donations of good quality Lego to build up a collection for a Lego Club.
Children love to share stories and dad’s are wonderful storytellers. Try a picture book, a novel or even a special interest topic - dinosaurs and pirates are great favourites!

Simply put in a plastic bag, a box, and drop it off at any Gosford City Library branch.
Dads and grandads share with us your stories, pictures and favourite books to read with your children or grandchildren. Share at goscitylib@gosford.nsw.gov.au or drop it in to your local branch library.

Poetry Slam: Could you be Australia’s Next Poetry Slam Champion? Workshop: Thursday 17 September, 12pm to 2pm - Bookings essential. Heat: Thursday 17 September, from 4.30pm to 7pm - Registration from 4.30pm. Anyone can participate: all you need is your voice. You will be given a microphone, a live audience and two minutes to impress the judges with your original spoken word, poetry, story, monologue, or hip hop. Erina Library will host a Slam workshop with special guest, Poetry Slam Champion Zohab Zee Khan. The workshop is limited to 20 places, bookings essential. Please note: attendance at the workshop, does not guarantee you a spot in the heat. To participate in the heat, arrive at 4.30pm to sign up for a 5pm start. Only 20 places available in the Poetry Slam Heat - early registration is highly recommended. Zohab Zee Khan hails from Wagga, is the current Australian Poetry Slam Champion, didgeridoo player, harmonica beat-boxer and hip-hop artist. Yellow Bellied Glider Display
Wednesday 16 September to Wednesday 7th October 2015 Taronga Zoo and Gosford Council are currently running the Yellow Bellied Glider Conservation Education program working with schools in Kincumber area. These schools have taken up the challenge to help the Yellow bellied Glider, a locally threatened species.
