GOSFORD TIMES 21.3.1918. ROLL OF HONOR CRANE – In loving memory of our dear brother, Private Hector Phillip, died of wounds in France 16th March, 1917. Aged 24years 11 months. He fought for those he loved so dear, That we may all live free; And on the battle field of France, He gave his life for you and me. Inserted by his loving brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Cassy and sister Dorna (sic)
