Gosford Times 7th March 1918 IN MEMORIAM ROBERTS- Died of wounds, March 4th, 1917, Private Richard Roberts (Dick) 18th Battalion, A I F . Somewhere in France they have laid him, Our loved one so true and brave, Far away from the land of wattle He sleeps in a hero’s grave. Inserted by his loving parents and loving sisters and brothers. ROBERTS;- I loving memory of Private R C Roberts (Dick) who died of gunshot wounds, received in France on 4th March, 1917. “Not dead, but gone before.” Inserted by his loving sister and brother-in-law, Annie and Bert Alderton, and his two brothers on Active Service, Jim and Jack Roberts.
Gosford Times 13th February 1919 ROLL OF HONOR ROBERTS;- In loving memory of my two brothers, Private R C Roberts, died of wounds in France, 4th March,1917, and Private J H Roberts, died of wounds in France, 15th Feb, 1918. “Lest we Forget.” Inserted by their loving sister and broth-in-law, Annie and Bert Alderton, and their brother, Jim (on active service).
