LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT Dear Goshen College community and friends, In this annual report we celebrate the generosity of our many alumni and friends who have invested in Goshen College through their charitable giving during our last fiscal year (July 1, 2013, through June 30, 2014). The academic year marked another year of accomplishment. Our faculty and students excelled in significant ways, receiving national and international recognition. Our staff consistently demonstrated a commitment and dedication to the success and advancement of Goshen College. Beyond the campus of Goshen College, our alumni are leaders in business, education, medicine, service, law and more. They are contributing to improving and enhancing their communities and the country in often quiet, unassuming ways. Last year was a time to come together around our core values and educational mission and a reminder of the strong bonds and distinction that characterize the Goshen College community. It also reminded us that by working together and supporting each other our college’s future is bright. Your efforts in financially supporting Goshen College will live on for generations through countless students who will come to our campus to explore and discover important concepts in order to create an even better world tomorrow. We are elated to recognize the names of those individuals who provided financial support to Goshen College in the past year, making it the fourth year in a row of increased giving! HONORING THOSE WHO GIVE GOSHEN COLLEGE GIVING CLUBS The combined giving power of GC giving club members is truly phenomenal, whether they join the Builders at a minimum gift of $1 a day or the President’s Circle at $25,000 per year or more. Together, the members of these giving clubs provided $1,079,342 in unrestricted giving for the fiscal year 2013-14. The tradition of giving clubs took root at Goshen College in the ‘60s, when a group of donors decided to begin giving $1,000 annually to the Goshen College Fund. Five separate clubs now support the GC Fund. These “unrestricted” gifts support every student and department on campus and allow the college to respond to needs as they arise. We gratefully acknowledge the generosity of all these friends and alumni.
