JPC Community Farm is off to a flying start in 2020 thanks to a wave of support from the local community as 2019 came to a close. The Orangery Cafe at JPC Community Farm opened its doors just before Christmas and is welcoming diners from all over. The residential and respite apartments are close to completion but there are a few more areas that could use your support to help them on their way to being an outstanding facility for adults with complex needs as well as the local area and finally getting those doors open. They told us about the generous businesses and fundraisers in the local community who have contributed so far and how you can too.

The JPC Team, armed with loyal volunteers, returned to Morrisons at Teesside Park to help Christmas shoppers on their busy festive shop with an afternoon of bag packing. The team of volunteers were thrilled to chat to the shoppers and let them know how their kind donations were being used towards furnishing a respite apartment on JPC Community Farm. They raised an awesome £310.50. Then, Morgan Hair Nail Bar & Spa hosted a fantastic pamper evening in aid of JPC Community Farm. Attendees of the event were treated to live hair styling tutorials, skincare and haircare prescriptions, beauty demos and a great raffle. The fantastic team at Morgans made everyone feel welcome and pampered and, as a result, raised a massive £459.30 which was put towards completing that respite apartment.

IN OTHER NEWS JPC Community Farm wish to thank the following companies and organistions for their recent donations: Morgan Hair Nail Bar & Spa Clear-It Weald Park Limited Darlington and District Motor Club

In total, the farm has 7 full respite apartments and one reserved for emergency placement, all of which need to be furnished ready for their first visitors. Each respite apartment will cost approximately £1500 to fully furnish with generous donors and contributors having a plaque installed on the wall with their name on as a thank you.

Local company Clear-It Teesside also kindly donated towards a respite room as well as Weald Park Limited from St Helens.

Yorkshire born Vicky Tucker is inspired by the rich colours, wildlife and space on her doorstep. Her work is full of character and charm and she is able to capture her subjects with exceptional fine detail.

Vicky has established a reputation as a leading animal portrait artist over the last 13 years, her ability to truly capture the character of animals is exhibited in her extensive portfolio of dogs, horses and wild big cats. Her depiction of horses are truly breathtaking, exuding power, elegance and grace, her paintings have a presence on the wall that is captivating.

For Vicky, landscapes are an important part of her portfolio. She loves to spend time in the outdoors with her family and her landscape pieces document favourite places that she has visited. The rich vibrant colours of the North Yorkshire Moors, Vicky’s home turf, provides the perfect inspiration to feed the creative process allowing her to give attention to detail, and share scenes that she knows and loves. Vicky started out initially producing pictures for family and friends, she took the plunge in 2007 and started her own business. As well as ready to purchase paintings, prints and cards, Vicky also works to commission, creating bespoke works of art for her customers both nationally and internationally. Close collaboration with her clients has been key to the success of some very challenging and complex commission pieces.
