MELBOURNE, Learn in the world’s most liveable city Australia’s cultural capital Melbourne oozes culture: from theatres, music venues and comedy productions to world class cafes, restaurants and bars throughout the city. Melbourne is without a doubt one of the most liveable places in the world. It has, in fact, been officially given this title in 2011, 2012 and 2013 consecutively by the Economist Intelligence Unit survey. Being such a multicultural city you will find any cuisine imaginable, from Mexican to Malaysian, Ethiopian to English, Polish to Peruvian or Italian to Thai at prices to suit all budgets. If you want to experience a traditional Australian ‘‘barbie’’ you can use many of the free barbeque facilities on the riverbanks, parks or beaches. In winter, temperatures on average range from 13-16ºC and in summer they range from 26-35ºC. The weather is perfect for visiting the many surroundings beaches or learning how to surf at the world famous Bells Beach. If you are not passionate about surfing and beaches, then head to the mountains to hike, ski and snowboard your weekends away, or just stay in town and go to one of the many music, comedy, food and arts festivals that Melbourne has to offer.

IELTS Preparation

Business English

(CRICOS CODE: 069592A)

(CRICOS CODE: 080600B)

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is mandatory for entry into a vocational course or tertiary studies (e.g. University degrees or TAFE course). Our IELTS preparation course ensures students are fully prepared for the test so they can achieve the highest possible score and gain entry into the course or degree they wish to complete.

Business English focuses on students who wish to improve their English in a business setting. The course has been designed to be as realistic as possible. This means that students will be taught practical tasks such as participating in meetings, giving presentations, refining telephone skills, reading and writing emails, and building business and finance vocabulary.

IELTS is not just for students wanting to gain a tertiary qualification. It is also suitable for those who need to improve their language proficiency.

Students are tested on a weekly basis; the tests are taken from the Cambridge Business English Certificate (BEC Vantage). The teacher has over 4 years’ teaching experience and strategically incorporates multimedia, visual formats and an array of real life materials to enhance the learning experience.

Every 2 weeks students are given a “mock” IELTS exam to check how they are progressing as they work towards their IELTS target. Entry Level: Upper Intermediate level and above

Every 5 weeks each student is given detailed feedback on their class performance. Entry Level: Upper Intermediate level and above
