This five year combination of the Bachelor of Applied Science (Architectural Science) and the Master of Architecture is recognised by architects’ boards in all states and territories of Australia as the academic component of requirements for establishing eligibility to be registered as an architect in the respective state or territory. In addition to the degree, completion of approved postgraduate practical experience and the passing of Architects Accreditation Council of Australia architectural practice examinations are required for registration. This course is also recognised by the Royal Australian Institute of Architects for membership, and the Commonwealth Association of Architects.

Internationally, the course is recognised by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and the Board of Quantity Surveyors Malaysia. (Note: Malaysian applicants are required to achieve a C (6C) or C+ (5C) in Mathematics in the SPM for recognition of Award by Board of Quantity Surveyors Malaysia [BQSM]). This course has been designed to meet the regulations of the Nurses Board of Australia. Students who successfully complete all of the course requirements are eligible for recommendation by the head of school to the Nurses Board of Australia for registration to practice as a comprehensive nurse. Students graduating from this course and seeking registration through the Australian Health Professional Registration Agency (AHPRA) will be required to achieve an IELTS of 7.0 in each test band or an OET of Grade A or B in each of the four components.

Registered general nurses from overseas wishing to gain registration in Australia must hold qualifications that have been recognised by the Australian Qualifications Framework as equivalent to a minimum of a three-year diploma. They must also meet the Curtin nursing English and academic entry requirements and have a minimum of 12 months’ recent clinical nursing experience as a registered general nurse in a hospital.

Students graduating from this course and seeking registration through the Australian Health Professional Registration Agency (AHPRA) will be required to achieve an IELTS of 7.0 in each test band or an OET of Grade A or B in each of the four components.
