IELTS Examination Preparation

If you already have a good knowledge of the English language and want a qualification to demonstrate this, a Cambridge Examination Course is for you. Our Courses prepare students for the First Certificate in English (FCE) the Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) the Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) Cambridge certificates are widely recognised for work or study purposes.

An IELTS qualification proves that your English skills are good enough to study for a degree at a university where the main language used is English. IELTS is accepted in the UK, USA, Australia, New Zealand and Canada. This qualification opens up many study opportunities for you. If you are planning to study a university subject taught in English, then this course is for you.

1-to-1 Professional For students who require intensive, individual tuition in Business, Technical or Professional English, we offer a range of 1-to-1 (individual) courses from 17.5-35 hours per week. Your choice should be made according to your present level of English, professional needs, and length of stay. Your course will be tailored to your specific language needs.

English for Business Success A Business English course for students who have a good level of general English. You will learn essential Business English skills, such as the language of presentations and meetings, negotiating in English, agreeing and disagreeing, speaking at seminars and conferences and socialising in English.

Professional Intensive Business Communication Intensive short course for learners at Upper-Intermediate level (CEFR B2) or higher. The course is full day, with a maximum class size of 6 in the morning and 12 in the afternoon. a.m.- Business Communication p.m. - English for Business Success In the morning classes, Professional Intensive course students study together in a small group. In the afternoons, the group joins other students to study English for Business Success.

Combined Courses Writing Skills If you have a good level of general English and would like to improve your writing skills for everyday use or academic purposes, this is the course for you. You will focus on different writing styles (both formal and informal), syntax, spelling and punctuation. You will learn how to plan and write different kinds of text, including CV’s, letters of application and academic assignments. You can combine your part-time Writing Skills course (6 hours per week), with a General English course (15 hours per week).

British University Degree Courses at Oxford House College

A range of courses combining group lessons with 1-to-1 (individual) lessons. You study General English or Intensive English in a group, and focus on an area of particular interest in your 1-to-1 lessons – for example English Conversation, Business English or Academic English. General English (15 hours) + 1-to-1 lessons (5 hours). 30 hours per week - General English (15 hours) + 1-to-1 lessons (15 hours). General English or Intensive English (30 hours) + 1-to-1 lessons (3 hours).

General English plus Golf You study General English in a group in the mornings (09.00 12.00). You play golf on 2 or 4 afternoons, playing 18 holes with a golf partner chosen by the College. If you prefer, you can have a golf lesson with a club professional. There are three wonderful 18hole golf courses in Stratford-upon-Avon, the nearest just 300 metres from the College.

Courses at a glance

Junior Summer Course In summer, younger students can improve their English and make lots of new friends on our Junior Summer Course. The course takes place on a separate summer campus near Stratford-upon-Avon town centre, with excellent facilities. An intensive General English programme for students aged 11-17 combined with a programme of fun activities and excursions, our Junior Summer Course is perfect for motivated young students of English who also like to have fun! The full day course (09.30-17.15 on weekdays) includes 21 hours of English per week, a programme of after school activities, and excursions on Wednesday afternoons and Saturdays. The maximum class size for junior courses is 18 students.

There is always something to do in and around Oxford, such as visiting an Oxford University college, punting on the river, or dining out in one of Oxford's quality restaurants. The College is perfectly located right in the heart of Oxford, surrounded by Oxford University colleges.
