Welcome to the 2015 Janssen Farms, The Chosen Few sale of Simmental and Sim-Angus cattle! This year marks our 14th consecutive female production sale and each year we are humbled by the support from Simmental breeders; as we continue to strive to be the best seed stock provider that we can be! Many of you know that we try to be the place to buy open females from. Over the years we have sold some outstanding open females that have gone on to win banners and go into production. Our opens this year are still top of the line, but wait until you see our breds. This is by far the best set of breds we have ever sold. These are high quality females that are going to have a lot of value in your herd. We believe some of these ladies will even be future donors. We have been very fortunate over the years to be able to offer some leading ladies in the JF herd. This year we offer to you the dam of JF Milestone, Maxie Lou. Since Milestone came onto the stage, everyone has always asked about his dam, and this year she is ready to make her way to a new operation. As always, while you are at the farm we welcome you to check out the bull calf mates to these females that will be offered in our 2016 Scalebuster bull sale. We take great pride in the opportunity to breed bulls that have work for commercial programs, seed stock programs, and bulls in stud. We are very excited about the future of JF Back in Black, who sold in last year's sale for $60,000. We think he has great potential to do a lot of good things in the Simmental breed, and you have the opportunity to buy some great Back in Black genetics in this sale. In our program in the past few years we have been excited about many open heifers, however we truly feel this is the best we have ever raised at JF. The dam we purchased from Plendl Farms and felt at the time she would produce a lot of good ones. We are proud to be in the state of Iowa, home of the largest state fair Simmental show. This Milestone female won the largest division at the Iowa State Fair. This female expresses power, stoutness, body, bone in an eye appealing package. 5250C is loaded with style with great hair and a pleasure to show off. I would encourage anyone to study the cows in her extended pedigree, and the breeders attached to them also. Cane Ridge and Circle M Farm have had tremendous success with Bandy Maid 873; who sold a daughter for $24,000 in Circle M’s recent production sale. 5250C excels in power being in the top 4% for weaning weight and top 10% for yearling weight. We know this ladies future will be bright, and we can’t wait to cheer on the new owner in their search for the purple.

Welcome to The Chosen Few at Janssen Farms! The Janssen family always does a great jobpreparing for their annual female sale whether it be selecting top females for the sale, or marketing the animals to past and future customers. The very popular female at the Iowa State Fair will be finding a new home on November 29th, and we know that this one is destined to do BIG things.
