Please accept this invitation to attend Volume 4 of our Fall Production Sale. When we named this event “Fall Production Sale”, there was a lot of discussion over “production sale” vs. “bull sale”. Production Sale won out, and I’m glad it did. This is our opportunity to share the fruit of our labor over the last 12-18 months, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the both the bull and female offering that we’ve put together. This group of cattle represents some of the top performance numbers and EPDs in the breed, and it’s not by accident. We use proven sires on proven cow families to create the product you see today. We subscribe to the belief that when you have multiple-trait leading genetics, with proven performance, then our customers are afforded multiple options. One thing that rings true through both the bull and female offering is cow families. The good ones always find their way to the top, and as you evaluate the pedigrees you’ll start to find the cows that are the backbone of our herd. For instance, M6 MS Bravo Bell 467 P ET, her influence is in 10 lots, ranging from herd sire prospects, to the three-lot female pick, and one of her sons sired three of the splits. Then there is M6 MS 761 Fabulous 160 ET whose influence can be found in six lots. Baldridge Elvira 162J is another, with her influence in eight lots. Cows make the program, and as you’ll see, there’s a lot of good cows backing up these animals. We’ve stayed with what works for us, and that’s a lot of WCF Silver Gun 467, M6 New Standard 842 P ET and M6 Bells & Whistles 258 P. These sires consistently produce sound, powerful and athletic progeny that have a long track record of performing. We have bona fide calving-ease bulls available too, and to be honest, some of them really surprised me by not giving up ground on the performance side.

We’ve got another great set of females for you to consider. All good cows in their prime, and so much potential in the splits and pairs. I’m very excited about lots 102A and 104A. Those two half sibs are out of a Free Lunch son that we walked last year, and who we intend to use much more this fall. I can’t say enough about the 467 cow and the opportunity in lots 101A/101B/101C. We can’t forget the Bojangles Sisters, lots 106 and 107, both fault-free young cows with multiple-trait leading genetics. So many options to consider with them! This is a bit of an “Old School” calving-ease pedigree with the influence of Duke 9003—his mother was a very productive donor that left her mark. This is a curve bender that has been an eye-catcher since day one. His first calf mother did an excellent job and he mashed the scales at both weighing periods. Here is another calving-ease prospect with a lot of look and style. The Bluegrass influence never hurts when building herd bulls or maternal type cattle.
