Welcome!
…TO THE 11TH ANNUAL EVENT
On behalf of the partners, we would like to welcome you to the 2016 Dakota Classic Production Sale. We are humbled that after 11 years, repeat and new buyers continue to come to the source for ROCK SOLID GENETICS. We are extremely proud of this set of cattle! We have really dug deep into the heart of our herds, and it pains us to sell some of these great females, but we are committed to bringing only the best to this sale. This outstanding set of females will be, without question, one of the most impressive lineups to sell this season. As many of you know, we have been building and developing this set of cattle for years. Study the pedigrees in the catalog. These females are backed by generations of maternal bred females geared for raising show cattle. We have been very diligent in selecting the Angus, Maine and Simmental genetics that are featured in this sale. This proven blend has created these model club calf producing females. Many of the sires represented in the offering are owned by our programs and have become well known in the industry, such as Damage Control, Payment Plan, Powerline, Adrenaline, Irish Whiskey and Glover, just to name a few. As committed to the maternal side of the business as we are, we breed all of our first, second and third calvers to maternal bulls, so many of these young cows have never been mated to club calf sires until this year. You will be amazed at how massive and powerful these genetics have become without sacrificing any of their maternal ability. The cattle are available for viewing online on the Dakota Classic sale page at vanhovecattlecompany.com. Please call anytime with buying assistance or for questions about the cattle. We can easily assist and help arrange trucking to Midwestern and Southern states; just give us a call immediately after the sale. Make plans to be in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, on Saturday, February 6th. Sioux Falls is serviced by many major airlines, and good accommodations are available near the sale barn. Thanks again and see you there!

Breeding Guarantee All females are sold under the condition “safe in calf” as attested to by a licensed veterinarian and sell with no further guarantee. The ultrasound results reported are as accurate as possible but are not guaranteed. No guarantee is given that bred females will deliver a live calf.
Note about Pregnancy Testing Careful consideration was given when selecting the cattle for the sale offering in reference to A.I. service. We feel that the majority of the cattle selling are safe to their A.I. date or the approximate due date that is given. Please make sure that you do not confuse A.I. service date with approximate due date. Some of the females that were only exposed to the pasture sires are given an approximate due date in correlation with the vet examination. While we cannot guarantee A.I. service, we are confident that a large part of the offering is A.I. safe. Any additional pregnancy testing will be available on the sale supplement sheet.

This great Everclear female is absolutely as good as it gets, moreover proving our commitment to bringing you nothing but the best. • This tremendously massive built cow is wide topped and heavy structured and yet beautiful in her design and flawless in her structure. As you study her powerful pedigree, you will see that W913 stems from a very good OCC Legend daughter, further proving the power of her pedigree. • If you know our program, you know that we breed all our young females maternal until they become mature cows. We love this female so much that we have continued breeding her maternal and now have three daughters in our herd. This is her first club calf mating.
