Architectural Design Studio 7 & 8 | NTUA: Public Service Multiple Functions Building S.A.D.A.S. design team: Georgios Pasisis | Spyridon Ampanavos Triantafyllos Mammasis supervisors: Konstantinos Moraitis | Nella Marda The project is located in the area of Exarcheia (Athens) focusing on the design of a building complex that accommodates multiple cultural functions. Those functions are arranged in split level floor plans around a central atrium. A free helical path is thus created leading the people to flow from the atrium through the road level up to the meeting area on the first floor. The internal layout of the building and the horizontal and vertical circulations are projected on the elevations, emphasizing the varied internal uses. A research on the construction methods was conducted, reaching a high level of detail (1:20 constructive scale).
