“Receiving this scholarship will help me attain my goal of becoming a nurse and allow me to put more of my effort into my academic career instead of splitting my attention between my schoolwork and earning money on the side. It will be an investment into my future as an amazing nurse and afford me the opportunity to home in on the skills I am learning and truly be able to perfect them. I plan to become the best nurse I possibly can, and this scholarship will bring me one step closer to achieving my goals.” —McClaine Bray (Oklahoma)

“I would not be the woman I am today without the community of supportive sisters that Gamma Phi Beta gave to me. This award means that I can learn how to be the best educator I can be and give that same sense of community to all of my future students! There are not enough words to thank Gamma Phi Beta for everything they have done for me, and I am incredibly thankful they have chosen to continue to support me as a sister during my graduate experience with this award. Because of this fellowship I can focus on doing my part to make a change for a more socially equitable education system and for that I will forever be eternally grateful! Thank you, GPhi!.” —Celine Esperanza Castano (California-Berkeley) Kathleen Donahue (Delaware) Kristen Summers Donavan (California-Santa Barbara) Catherine Stachura Donohue (Michigan) Helen Donovan (Oregon State) Carolyn Hansen Dorn (Wyoming) Mary Hodnett Doro (Oklahoma State) Tracy Shapiro Douchy (Arizona) Shirley Douglas (Washington) Lisa Hoffmann Dresselhuys (Northern Iowa) Donna Fessler Driscoll (Wittenberg) Sandra Dudek (Gettysburg) Linda Puro Dudman (Rochester) Karen Bloomquist Duffy (Washington) Nancye Tucker Duhon (Louisiana State) Cheryl Jacobson Dukes (Bowling Green) Angelique Dulin (Delaware) Bridget Dummett Brittney Dunham (Texas Christian) Dorothy Ferrick Dunkle (Texas-Austin) Joyce Lemon Dunn (Northwestern) Sonya Duong (George Mason) Elizabeth Dupuis (Illinois at Urbana-Champaign) Phyllis Grant Earls (Syracuse) Sally Eastland (Illinois at Urbana-Champaign) Ava Eckhoff Laura Negley Ecklund (Kansas State) Thalia Welborn Eddleman (Oklahoma) Johanna Gauer Edge (Gettysburg) Kaitlin Apostolik Edminsten (Creighton) John A. “I cannot thank you enough for this scholarship. Gamma Phi Beta has provided me with sisters, lifelong friends, mentors, connections and now financial assistance to help with the expense of college. I am truly grateful and honored for the opportunity to receive a scholarship. This will impact me and my education as I finish up my undergraduate double major in business management and health administration and policy at Creighton University. Thank you!” —Erin Mary Sweeney (Creighton) Ann Sibold (Vanderbilt) Katherine Demetriou Sidelsky (Arizona) Susan Henderson Sieber (Colorado - Boulder) Mary Buscher Sieling (Minnesota-Twin Cities) Sondra Dale Sigmon (Southern Methodist) Lisa Rauls Simmon (Northern Arizona) Leslie Emirhanian Simone (California State-Long Beach) Stephanie Siri (Nevada-Reno) Ilene Moore Skinner (Oklahoma State) Anne Skuce (Bowling Green) Anne Bengel Slater (Maryland) Allison Slattery Diane Ruhl Sloan (Illinois at Urbana-Champaign) Stephanie Sloggett-O’Dell (San Diego State) Brian Smith Patrick Smith Joseph Smith Shannon Smith (Nebraska-Lincoln) Mary Starwalt Smith (Illinois at Urbana-Champaign) Cynthia Tague Smith (Syracuse) Alexandra Smith (Wittenberg) Susan Boesvert Smith (Memphis) Lindsay Burke Smith (La Salle) Diane McCroskey Smith (San Jose State) Charlene Baumbach Smith (William & Mary) Joyce Byerly Smith (Bowling Green) Allison London Smith (Missouri-Columbia)* Solveig Larson Smith (College of Idaho) Sandra Curry Smoot (Northwestern) Holly Squire Snook (Illinois State) Amy Beth Lalak Snyder (Bowling Green) Betty Baldessari Sokol (San Diego State) Lori Solomine Carmel Miles Solomon (Kansas State) Sandra Solomon (Bucknell) Barbara Sanders Sorenson (California-Los Angeles) South Jersey Alumnae Chapter
