GUIDELINES for Practices and Rehearsals _________

From Tuesday 16 June 2020, we will resume co-curricular activities and practices at the College. The following guidelines will apply: Sports: 1. No more than 20 people may use the MPC at a time – this includes players and adults. 2. On outdoor courts, a team of up to 10 including adults may practise on each court. Please ensure each team stays in their half of the enclosed area. 3. Adults should practise physical distancing at all times, but this is not required for school age students. 4. Parents and other spectators should not enter the MPC or the enclosed outdoor courts at any stage during a practise unless they are a member of the coaching team and they are keeping within the numbers’ limits. 5. Students should wash their hands before and after practise or use hand sanitiser. 6. No adult should engage in a team huddle or be within 1.5 metres of the players at any time. 7. Keep student contact to a minimum so far as is practicable for the code. 8. Each player should have a small towel with them to wipe sweat off their bodies regularly to prevent droplet spread. 9. Students must be instructed to practise good hygiene such as coughing or sneezing into their elbow, no spitting and tissues must be disposed of appropriately immediately after use.

Other Group Activities: Band, Choir, Drama rehearsal etc: 1. In a classroom sized space, no more than 30 students should be present and no more than two adults. 2. The row between band members should be 1.5 metres. 3. The row between choir members should be 1.5 metres. 4. Drama rehearsals may take place but keep contact to a minimum if possible. 5. Adults should stay 1.5 metres from students at all times. 6. Only the adults who need to be present at the activity may be there – no spectators, siblings or parents should be in the venue. 7. Students should wash their hands before and after practise or use hand sanitiser. 8. Students must be instructed to practise good hygiene such as coughing or sneezing into their elbow, and tissues must be disposed of appropriately immediately after use.
